   Do you have someone to kiss at midnight tonight, New Year's Eve?
   
   In the United States, it is a custom here to kiss someone at midnight and wish them a "Happy New Year" and so do you have someone to kiss at midnight to bring in the New Year?  If you are not from the U.S., what are some of your customs on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day?  Thank you for answering and have a Happy New Year.    My two kids and I stay up to watch the ball drop in New York City and at midnight, we all give each other a kiss and a big group hug. Even when we were first married, my husband never wanted to stay up. So I just enjoy the moment with the two most precious kids in the world!

   Yes, but I better not. I'm recovering from the flu and I don't think he'd be very appreciative of my sharing that .  He's been taking such great care of me though I wish I could give him a big kiss to show my appreciation.  Maybe in a few days lol.

   Yes I do have some special people in my life to kiss, they are my husband and kids. We will also be ushering the the New Year in church, as we give thanks for the past year and seek God's blessing and direction for the New Year.

   You might find this sad and/or gross, but I have my cat. No - not that kind of kiss. Just a kiss on his head. Hey why not? For this year he's the only part of my family that will be at my house.

   No, but I wish I did. I've never really been into the partying on New Year's Eve; but having someone to kiss at midnight is something I would really like, at least once.

   Yes Faith, just my wife and I this year. It is also a custom here in Australia to kiss people, but goes one further, New Year is renowned for Kiss A Cop. Everyone goes for the closest police officer and kisses them. The only time of year you could get away with it.

      Hi Jodah, It is wonderful to have a spouse to kiss indeed.  Wow, what a custom there in Australia to kiss the closest police officer ...LOL!!!  I have never heard of such.  I bet the female officers run for the hills!  hehehe
