Uploading image

   When trying to upload an image from my computer for a new and unpublished hub, the image does not load.  The HP logo goes round, and round, and round with the Loading Image caption, but nothing happens.  When I discard changes and then choose to edit the same capsule, the HP logo is still going round, and round, and round trying to load an image that isn't defined.
   
   There is already one other image loaded successfully in the capsule.  Also, I did not experience this with the other image capsules.
   
   How do I stop the uploading???  HELP!!

      Sometimes it depends on the size of your image, no matter what site you are uploading it to. Check the size requirements for uploading, and then check your image. The larger your image is, the longer it takes to load. If you have an editing program, try to make your image smaller, and try again.
      
      Sometimes it also depends on what kind of file it is. I find that JPEG images load the best. I upload images all the time, and I have a dial up connection.

   wow, sorry to hear that.  that happens to me too sometimes.  normally i just finish log out and then log back in after i just click finished editing button.  that normally works for me.

      Yup, tried that.  Even signed out and back in.  Didn't fix it.

         your welcome.  im sorry, i couldn't help you then.  i hope you'll be able to get it resolved though. maybe you should try rebooting your pc.  that might work also

            I'll try what's been suggested here and I'll start with the simplest:  delete and recreate the capsule.  Thanks again Sweets!

   I've had this happen to me also.
   I simply delete the capsule that is stuck uploading, and start with a new capsule.
   
   That doesn't solve the original problem though...

   This can be a problem due to internet connection, also clearing the browser cache can help too

      Oh, so true about the connection. Have noticed that HP is timing out quite a bit.  I've done some performance work on my system earlier today and it did help with fewer time outs (yeah, bad connection...)  Cache, cookies, etc. have all been deleted.

   At least for tonight, however, it seems to be an intermittent problem that has affected other hubbers.

   It isnt a lot bigger than the others is it? I've had that happen where it wouldnt go in.
   I have also had the problem like some of the other guys here, where for some weird reason it got stuck too so I got cheezed off and deleted the capsule as I couldnt wait any longer as I had to go to the bathroom

      Ah, its no wonder you're one of my favs here BP!  You always have me laughing in stitches.  hugs girl! 
      
      And, no it (the image) wasn't bigger than the others (images).    But, I'll keep that in mind for the future.

         LMAO Beth you have me laughing like crazy myself now after re-reading my message to you. "Was it a bit bigger than the rest". Haaaaaaaa I sound like a total dork haaa but it was the first thing that popped out my head just like 1000pieces of popcorn popping out of a popcorn maker cause you forgot to put the lid on haaaa.
