What's the best way to promote your hubs?
Can you rely on traffic from Hubpages alone or is it necessary to keep promoting your hubs? If it is necessary to promote. Does anyone have any suggestions of the best avenues?
Thank you in advance
I rely on different types of social media to promote my writing. If the topic is 'business', then I'll post on Linkedin, twitter and facebook. However, if the topic is not about business, then I use facebook and twitter to promote my hubs.
It is important to keep on promoting the hubs and edit them occasionally to keep them updated. Facebook groups, twitter, Linkedin, G+ , Pinterest, stumble upon and others are some of the places I share my hubs. Whenever I see reduced page views, I normally edit the hubs, add some matter, that may be pictures or poll and share it again. This gives a little boost to the traffic.
Hope that helps! All the best!

Did you wait until you had plenty of hubs and the ad accounts activated before you started promoting your hubs or did you start promoting right away?

I didn't think this was allowed and it is rather annoying spamming a link to one article every couple hours.
