I'm having a terrible time figuring out what I'm doing and think I've gotten into something that is way over my head. Please help direct me to someone here at the HUB Site that can help me disconnect my HUB page. I would be greatly appreciative of any help and assistance.
Thank you.

We are in the same situation. If you got a time to drop by on my profile. You will know I am like a 5 years old kid that I don't know what to do. For 3 days now, I'm staying most of my time in front of my computer to read everything. Where I do found out, most of the people here are really a great writer. I am thinking is this the right place for me?
Coffee, the following link may be helpful: http://hubpages.com/faq/
Are you wanting to write on the site but you're confused with 'how to' etc? If you need help, all you have to do is ask - we don't bite
Hi Frog,
Thank you for the link. It is much appreciated. I am stuck between whether or not to end my account here or not.
I have many questions and feel so computer stupid that I almmost shouldn't be using this web site.
After viewing numerous and very wonderful Hub Pages here I'm in awe how talented so many people are talented in various ways. There are so many unique Hubs and very different types of writing styles. It is very interesting to read the many Hubs here.
Seeing the many Hubs I'm lost trying to figure out my own. I'll post when I have time to ask questions if I decide to stay here to find more information out on how to operate the Hub page and it's functions.
Again, thank you!
Best regards.

It looks to me like you've written the intended content of your hub as a comment. That's probably preventing it from being published, since we don't count the words in a comment toward the minimum length for a hub.
What you want to do instead is, edit your hub from here, and then add or edit a "text capsule" and place what you've written in the comment into the text capsule. If you're having trouble with that, I can do it for you for the hub that you have.
You can also learn more about capsules and the hubtool in the HubPages Guide. It's pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it.
If you do decide to close your account, just contact us here and we'll take care of it for you.
Don't leave!
It is daunting at first, I know...its hard!
But soon enough you realise you've cracked it and you have found your inner writer.
Sometimes it just needs time to marinate-sink in
Atleast make friends in the forums, that mgiht help or use frums for topical hub inspiration....Like Cags said don't run in fear....Attack!
I am certain there are a number of people around here at any given time that would be more than willing to help. Stay learn enjoy. This crowd barks loud sometimes but I do not think any of them bite!
Don't leave. We are all new at some time. There is plenty of help here, though, so if you have a question ask in the forum, and you should get an answer. Read the FAQ that FD gave you the link for, and read the guide.
Just dive in and learn and when you are ready make a hub. There is a forum (Extreme Hub Makeover) where you can post your link to your hub and ask other hubbers for help and critique. Now get in there, coffeegirl!
I'm only one piece of advice. Do not run away for fear. Attack it head on by learning everything you can. Work at your own pace and don't feel pressured to publish.
All you need to do is publish your thoughts, ideas and feelings or knowledge. I've managed to publish many different articles, not to mention, my poem which I use to fear would be unacceptable. But, after publishing them here at HubPages, I got a warm welcome for the community and supportive help to push forward.
Please, don't make a rash decision based on confusion or fear. It will be your fall back position for the rest of your life.
Please stay and try to learn. Many of Us can help.
@coffeegirl - stick with it. I found it all quite diffcult at first, honest. But it does get easier with practice. And never mind the writing styles of others - focus on your own style.
And write about something you know about. I mean ... one of my first hubs was a right load of nonsense about a Dragon. Utter rubbish. But I still wrote and published it
If you need help - ask. You never know what may come of your sticking around. And if you need a topic or two to start with, email me.
@paul - very helpful and I'm sure that will help
And see coffeegirl, hubbers are stepping up to help you!
I wouldn't quit if i were you,.. if you stick around just for a minute you'll find hubbers to be a warm and helping community of people always willing to offer help and tips. A lot of us that are new second guesses our writing, especially after reading others that is very good. After awhile you'll gain confidence and look on the brightside, your writing will only improve, its not like your writing can get any worse right.
Don't delete your account, stay around, read, learn, practice and then publish when you feel ready. It's an incredibly helpful community and quite rewarding in the long run. You can work at it at your own pace, hours, days, months even. You'll know when you are ready.
Hi, Coffeegirl.
The Frog is wise
It can be a little overwhelming, at first, but you will soon pick it up.
We have seen many nervous new writers blossom into great talents - stick with it and I am sure that you will thrive.
If you need any help, there are plenty of folks willing to lend a hand.
CoffeGirl,
Do you think we all just started writing great hubs right after we signed on for Hubpages? Noooo..we just kept writing because we enjoyed it, and then we all got addicted to Hubpages The more you write the better you get. I have seen a big difference in my writing over the past two years and it keeps improving. If you enjoy it stick with it.. If you need help.. just ask!
See coffeegirl ... help is all aound you. Sometimes hubbers are so helpful and friendly, it even warms up my cold, wet flippers!
Now please excuse me. My Zombie neighbour is abroad and he's yelling something awful. I need to go stick a fork in him or something
What they said - froggy and Cags have wise words for you, dragons notwithstanding (teasing, froggy - I love dragons too, but how far you have come since then!) We all needed help when we first started, and none of us did it on our own. Welcome to Hub Pages! I look forward to seeing your writing once you get your feet under you.
Hang in there. You will get used to Hubpages. It takes a little time and there are people here who are willing to help.
coffeegirl

love to you!
frog...anything about dragons could never be utter rubbish!!
love to you!

I've been doing a lot of thinking about the types of services we offer Hubbers and how to help Hubbers improve.A few services that have been suggested- grammar and spell checking- suggesting edits- providing images/media upon request- formatting help (breaking hubs into multiple text capsules,...

Of all the hubs you've written, do you have a favorite hub?I know it's a little like choosing your favorite child. Is there one hub that is just special to you, even if it's not the most popular?

I have seen that some hubbers have put on a very few hubs - not even niche hub topics. But they have several fans.I just added my 100th HubPage today! But I have got only 80 fans. (1) Are there any tips for getting more FANS for your hubpages?(2) Also I would like to know if it...

For me, the Best Photographer award is a no-brainer. http://aviannovice.hubpages.com/ is the best photographer I've seen on HP by a long shot, but she only has 317 followers and many hubbers may not have seen her work. (Follow the link and see her work for yourself if you don't already have a...

I still think comments should be comments, not discussions, that is the purpose of a forum. Maybe it would be a good idea that every author has a forum automatically made in a widget on there profile page and the topics are always the title of the Hub. That way you can discuss it and always edit...
