directly sales orientated.
Maybe Ive missed the point. I am unsure how to change my hub so that this doesnt apply. I got an email saying that it had to do with links.
I have the amazon list and links to other parts of amazon...
please could use some guidance here...
Also other money related hub was flagged and not quite sure why as changed what I thought was wrong and then was told it had been flagged for a different reason..???
Salt, overly promotional usually means you have more than two links to the same website in the text of your Hub. It doesn't have anything to do with how sales-oriented the page is.
The amazon capsule is a revenue-sharing capsule, so you can have as many of those as you like. If you're using Amazon links in your text, HubPages gets no share of those, so they would count towards the overly promotional flag.
Is your hub to make you money, or does it tell a story about how it contributes to the community and is not based to make the owner money, but to help those in need..there is a difference when it comes to writing about your stores and business..If it is soley to promote yourself, then it should be made into a legitimate webpage, not to share what you are doing to help disabled people, animals, charities, etc.

Can someone please explain this to me, as this hub was on HubPages for YEARS and saw a ton of traffic, but then I took it down... and only recently decided to bring it back, because I remember how helpful it was and how well it performed. The hub's purpose is to prove if Bodybuilding is really the...

Why am I suddenly being flagged as too promotional?Revising old Hubs and adding some new links following the Amazon prompt on the popup window. Not too many -- maybe a half dozen in a 1,500-word Hub. Now when I go to say I'm "done editing" I'm getting a warning that it contains too many...

I published two Hubs back in January. I never had any problem with them previously in all this time. Then all of a sudden I get two separate emails flagging my two Hubs as being Over-Promotional....How can that be? The few links I did have were pertinent to the individual article, and...

I am really ticked about this. I posted a hub about a revolutionary new site out there that will change how we social network and I linked to a page, not from that site but an info website of mine so people could get more info and I was flagged for being over promotional! This is news, not...

Some of my Hubs have been unpublished because they were overly promotional. I have no problem with that. I am trying to fix all my Hubs as soon as I can. However even when I delete ALL of my amazon capsules it still says it is overly promotional. I also happen to have about 3 youtube videos that...

I find it hilarious that Hubpages pushes the concept of helping new Hubbers yet my Hub which has had very good reception by the community has been flagged for being both overly promotional and substandard.I had 5 social bookmarking links, and 2 other links to free tools absolutely related to the...
