   and when i say new, i mean totally new. to hubpages, and to cars. lol. but i absolutely have to get a new motor in a car i just bought. 92 honda civic, and honda freaks on that are willing to guide me?

      Well, I have only a few questions.
      
      (1) What gender are you? Yes, it makes a difference, so people don't call you a he if you're a she or a she if you're a he.
      
      (2) What exactly are you trying to do? Make one car or two?
      
      (3) What trades do you have in trade for work done?
      
      And, I'm sure there will be more question, but we'll start with these.

            You'd be lucky if it was a woman. There are not many women mechanics. Learning is good, sure, but it's not something you try to do. It's a mind-set that you must create, so forward movement turns into results. The physical requirements alone, not to mention, the mess, dirt, grime and other things associated with it.
            
            Women can barely get themselves dirty or messed up, unless it is something they are passionate about in the first place.
            
            So, if this is I can try? Then, it's doomed before it gets started. Hence, for my following question. Hope I helped.

               lol im a GIRL, thanks for the compliment. its not something i want to try, i wanna KNOW what makes it all happen. i like to know how things work together. my dad is a major car freak so i've been around a shop since before i could walk, no problem gettin dirty. watch your mouth, im a southern girl. you have no idea what kinda person i am, so dont be stereotypical, i can prove you wrong on alot of things.

                 phew...you have no idea how dirty i get helping hubby fix vehicles....and yes, transmissions are heavy
               oh, and im not even close to passionate about stacking wood, but sure does get me 'messy'.

         oh yeah, im just making one car. the 92, screw the 05. it's wrecked. trades; i'll trade the 05 civic minus a motor, white 17's low pro's, or 454 big block chevy engine. just random things i have layin around, literally.

            And, this is why I asked the questions. I'm glad you have been around cars, it will help. I had nothing to base my view of you, because your profile is limited and only talks about your situation with the cars.
            
            It mentions nothing of your experience or knowledge or even to what extent that is? So, when I ask a question, it is for a reason. You are an exception, because you got into what he was all about. That's good.
            
            As far as your situation, I cannot help, because you probably know more about cars than I do. Then again, I think my cat knows more about cars than I do. I just operate them, my cat wants nothing to do with. So, oh well. Life goes on.

            Interestingly enough ... every woman's right foot (that I have known of) has a challenged nerve that contracts, forcing th gas pedal down to extremes when they drive on the highway. Why, just the other day an old lady whizzed by me doing 100!
