Well, I have only a few questions.
(1) What gender are you? Yes, it makes a difference, so people don't call you a he if you're a she or a she if you're a he.
(2) What exactly are you trying to do? Make one car or two?
(3) What trades do you have in trade for work done?
And, I'm sure there will be more question, but we'll start with these.

You'd be lucky if it was a woman. There are not many women mechanics. Learning is good, sure, but it's not something you try to do. It's a mind-set that you must create, so forward movement turns into results. The physical requirements alone, not to mention, the mess, dirt, grime and other things associated with it.
Women can barely get themselves dirty or messed up, unless it is something they are passionate about in the first place.
So, if this is I can try? Then, it's doomed before it gets started. Hence, for my following question. Hope I helped.
And, this is why I asked the questions. I'm glad you have been around cars, it will help. I had nothing to base my view of you, because your profile is limited and only talks about your situation with the cars.
It mentions nothing of your experience or knowledge or even to what extent that is? So, when I ask a question, it is for a reason. You are an exception, because you got into what he was all about. That's good.
As far as your situation, I cannot help, because you probably know more about cars than I do. Then again, I think my cat knows more about cars than I do. I just operate them, my cat wants nothing to do with. So, oh well. Life goes on.
