I don't find it very big. Just average
What does your wife say? I'm sure she's the one that feeds him.

No wife, but like My male Hen I have many good friends, yes indeed many of my female friends have stroked him and say they enjoyed it.....but I dont like to encourage them...they may get possessive.....

I kind of figured this was a joke thread. An evil attempt to get
traffic. So, I'm guessing you enjoy stroking your chicken?

Be careful doing that! They will pecker your eyes out! LOL!

I prefer the hens, I find then more gentle creatures, although I have seen a few that can be very nasty creatures, I like stroking them and making them feel at home, safe and secure, you know so that the big bad fox does not get them....

Thanks Bri, I will be careful, when I have him in my hand I always wear gloves....

Irishobserver, you're still missing the point of HubPages.

A Hub needs to be about ONE SINGLE SUBJECT.   If it's all over the place, the search engines won't know what to make of it, and you'll never get any decent traffic.

Of course, if you're just here to have fun and attract other Hubbers with jokes - or if you're somebody else's sockpuppet - then my advice isn't relevant.  But if you have any thoughts at all about making money, stop thinking of HubPages as a blog.

Think of each Hub as a single article in a magazine - about one topic and one topic only.  Then you'll start to get somewhere.

Marissa, thanks for that advice, I do have  aserious side, bt I had alot of fun with a lot of people yesterday, I am new and these ice breakers are fun....sorry if I have caused any upset...not intended just a bit of fun to get to know everyone....

You're not causing any upset - if you're conscious that your Hubs are not proper Hubs, and you don't care, that's none of my business.

It's just that I often see newbies joining and thinking HubPages is a blog, and wasting their time writing totally unsuitable Hubs that will never make any money. They have fun for a while and enjoy the attention from other Hubbers - but when that dies down, they wonder why no one else is reading their Hubs.

Even if all you want to do is get a following in the community, I don't recommend you publish a short Hub (like your art one) and then add to it piecemeal, because other Hubbers don't know you've updated it (it doesn't appear on Hubtivity or get notified to your followers).

If you publish a short Hub, Hubbers will look at it, decide you can't write, and possibly never come back.  Hubs are not meant to be added to over time (although you can always improve them) - they should be a complete article from the day they're born.

Again thanks for that, I will get into the run of things, I thought like a Hub would be for a topic and you up date, that is clearly not the case and so I have just made another mistake by posting a recipe....I will learn..thanks..

No worries, Irish. Like I said, when you're writing a Hub, imagine you're writing an article for a magazine that people are going to buy in the shop.  It's about one subject and is complete in itself.  You'll get the idea.  Good luck!
