I hope that I posted in the right forum but my question is how do you find a fairy tale that was made into a movie if you don't know the name.

Refine your search to the years of possible release date e.g.1995-2000

Also, use keywords like Fairy Tale Movie List. Someones gotta have a list and reading some might jog your memory.

Sometimes it works just to write up a summary of the story into the search bar.

try posting the basic story details here in summary form and maybe someone will recognize it.

One way you could do it is by looking online. Oftentimes if you find movies with Cinderella in the name, it's probably a remake. You could also read a bunch of movie reviews to give you an idea of whether or not the movie was a fairytale.

This is the most reliable source. You can try searching "fairy tales" or a similar set of words like "Disney fairy tales."

I found a website but can't remember it now that had different versions of fairy tales and I read it. Then it was mentioned about going to IMDb and I did. They looked through that for a while. I saw one that I thought it might be but it wasn't. I went to YouTube and put in a year and typed in Beauty and the beast and there it was. I finally found it. I was looking for a specific version of beauty and the beast but wasn't quite sure if it was the title. It was a German version.

Interesting! I am glad you found it. Who produced the German movie?
