I received an email from Hubpages that looks legit, and says one of my articles has a new question. But  when I click on the link provided in the email, the question has nothing to do with my article ("How to Get Rid of Backyard Crows.") Instead, the question asks me for my tax info.

The question reads: "Question:404 error"Click here to visit HubPages’ tax center to submit Your tax information?"

This can't possibly be correct, can it? Would HubPages really ask me about my tax info within a Q&A?

I figured it was some sort of spam, so I reported the email as abuse, but then got to thinking that maybe it is legit, or maybe it is a bug. If it is legit, I'd like to suggest that Hubpages contact me about my tax info  in a different way than through Q&A. If it is a bug, perhaps it can be fixed?

Yes, this sounds like someone has used the Q&A feature in order to fish for your personal information. We suggest ignoring/deleting the email.

This definitely is spam. Ignore it. Don’t even respond. If you click the link you will most likely install malware on your computer. That’s what these hackers are up to. They get gullible people to click a dangerous link.

I don't even click links from known folks. I figure 50:50 their email has been hacked. Tough town we live in.

Thanks everyone for your help! I figured out how to hide the Question, which hopefully deletes it, and I deleted the original email as well.
