Hubpages views dropped after being edited and moved to a network site?

An article of mine was recently edited by a Hubpages editor, and moved to a Hubpages Network site. While I do quite approve of the edits of the article, and the opportunity to reach a specific audience---is this normal? Will the views go back up since it's now on a Network site? I am new to Hubpages and I'm not sure if this is normal or not, and any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

They generally do much better, so give it a few days.

Welcome to HubPages, Marilyn!  The article that was moved is new, so you can expect slight changes in traffic when you first write an article.  It's highly unlikely the traffic that you are receiving is from a search engine (it's probably from HubPages or the Network Site), so you can expect fluctuations.  It can take quite a while before Google starts to send your articles traffic.  smile

The network sites, in the long run, are a lot better than HP.

    Hi Marilyn

This is the exact opposite of my experience. When an article is moved from Featured to a Niche site my traffic increases. Give it time. Sometimes, an article will sputter along with very few views and then, suddenly, it takes off.

When the network sites were first introduced, I had the same experience when my hubs were moved there.  My hubs immediately lost all of their traffic.  I didn't understand why everyone was so enthusiastic about the network sites.  Where was all of the traffic that they were bragging about?  It took my hubs longer than most (months), but now I am experiencing record traffic and record earnings.  So be patient and keep writing hubs!  It does work out in the end.

Yes, I've experienced the same with my Hubs initially. But as others have said, after a few days, traffic normally increases.

I'm also new round here.  I had to make a few edits to get my article featured and then some more to publish on a niche site.  I just assumed that was how it works around here.

I find after a hub is moved to a niche, in about one month it gets "discovered" and I get a lot more views.

Thanks.  I'll bear that in mind.
