    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article 14 Reasons for Believing in Yourself (must be signed in to view). What can I do to improve? Thanks!

Too short, Kenny. Articles should ideally be around 700 to 1,500 words.

Don't use frames around images. I think they are being phased out.

Watch out for mixed tenses, like this: "Before someone judge your past or your character, let him walk in your shoes, walk in the path you have travelled, live your sorrow you have gone through, your fears and your pain, he will never judge you."

"Before someone judges your past, or your character, let him walk in your shoes, walk the path you travel, live your sorrows, and experience your fear and pain. Then he cannot judge you." All in present tense.

This is just a very general list of your beliefs.  It doesn't really have much substance to it.  Readers like articles that provide some kind of advice or practical suggestions to help them.  Some of the affirmations, for lack of a better term, seem resigned, untrue or like excuses, which will turn off readers.  For example, You can't change how people think or feel about you, so don't try, just live your own life and be proud of yourself, and What others think about you is not important. What you know about yourself means everything.  You can change what others think about you and as much as we'd like it not to what others think about you is important.  Otherwise, you live in a vacuum.  If nothing others think or feel about you is important that also means nothing you think or feel about them is important.

The title is 14 reasons for believing in yourself.  But the items don't really address that.  They are really just more your opinion about things.  For ex.  "Before someone judge your past or your character, let him walk in your shoes, walk in the path you have travelled, live your sorrow you have gone through, your fears and your pain, he will never judge you." isn't a reason to believe in yourself, its your own opinion.  The others also aren't reasons.  They are more advice based on your own beliefs.

I agree with what was said previously.  Your article should ideally be a minimum of 1000 to 1200 words long.  It should also include substance not just general opinion statements.  Go over formatting in the learning center (for example subtitles and capitalization/punctuation) and proof for grammar, spelling typos and general readability.  Good luck.

Kenny, Hubpages is only for writers at least 18. Try again after your birthday.

Kenny. You seem like a really nice guy. In fact, we could be friends. But there are several problems with this friendship. First, you're underage. I don't discriminate on age, but the TOS clearly states that a HubPages user must be 18 to participate. Second, unless this article is a prose poem, you must have at least 1050 words, have 3 images, have a combination of 2 videos, polls or maps, clear and concise subtitles: 14 to be exact; one for each belief, plus a conclusion and a callout. Come back when you turn 18, ok? Thanks.

Erick, these are nothing but suggestions. They are not requirements. So 'must' is incorrect.

I don't include videos. Occasionally polls, but not often. Only one of my hubs has a map. Callouts aren't necessary. Hubs can be as short as 700 words, sometime shorter. Images can be included as necessary.

Please don't give out erroneous information.

I'm sorry. I thought he needed a lesson.
