What is the relevance of a hub being "In The Spotlight"

    I notice at the top of our list of hubs there is one always listed as "In The Spotlight". What is the relevance of this?

    It’s a way of displaying your best articles to someone who visits your profile. Alternatively, you can place low traffic articles there to give them a boost.

    In addition, you can put a brand new, non-featured hub there.

    To select articles to display "In The Spotlight" go to your profile and edit it. You can add the best, as Bede points out, or those articles that are not getting traffic. My Spotlight articles are those that I feel more people should read. Not my best, not my most popular, but definitely those I feel are most important.

    Is it going to help? Not much. Your profile is only going to be read a few times a week, and those that do so are usually other writers on this site. Do not expect a surge of traffic from spotlight hubs.
    Is it going to hurt? Not at all. Go for it.

      Personally, I put hubs that I think hubbers might be interested in into the spotlight.  They aren't going to visit my profile to find out how to unplug a toilet, but they might be interested in what I think about a controversial topic.  Or perhaps something to aid in their writing.
