Stats are not being updated and are over 24 hours old.

HP says: We strive to keep your statistics as up to date as possible and the recency of our statistics are closely monitored. If you notice that your stats haven't been updated in a while, rest assured that we are aware of the issue. You can expect that things will return to normal within a day or so.

It is frustrating because it really affects, in this might sound weird, my rhythm of writing and working on hub pages.

Kenna, I noticed that the score data had changed but not the views.

The score data is not what influences my choice of action. The update of views and such help me decide what I need to do.  mad

I agree with you.  Don't know why it seems so important but I definitely use it to choose which hubs need to be updated even if it is just a little which I try to spend some time working on daily.  Not seeing views to know if there's an article that seems to be consistently losing ground throws me off.

I monitor my production by stats. It works! That is why I need that data.

Kenna, I just checked again and am getting “Includes data from 27 hours ago and earlier”

Mine says the same 27 hours ago...maybe the whole team took a vacation.

I'm hoping it is due to some updates to the site like the AMP tests. Some answers would be nice though, it's been a while since stats stalled for this long.

Natalie, I agree with you. I have been watching the traffic on several of my hubs for the same reason that you have. Now it says 29 hours. I’ve never seen the hours this high before. Maybe six or eight hours, but not 29.

I am sure they have. The also have a (?) next to the update notice saying the know about the issue and are working on it.

32 hours and counting.  Plus I started another thread about this, before this one under technical questions.  The description of that forum says to report problems there as it is a "staff-monitored forum".  A simple reply just to say "working on it" or "we're aware of the problem and will update in the next ____ hours," would be nice.

I'm disappointed that HubPages didn't send emails to ALL writers informing them of this problem and giving details and time estimate.  I had to search around to find this thread.  Not very professional.  When tech problems/delays occur, HP should immediately send us emails with explanations.  It's now been nearly 36 hours!

    1. Kenna McHugh profile image92
Kenna McHughposted 6 years agoin reply to this

Timothy, I agree. The lack of communication wastes our valuable time. All our attention should be on writing great articles not why something isn't working or when will something work again.

This happens periodically, but try not to worry much; I'm sure it'll be fixed soon.

I agree with your last sentence; when issues happen, it's nice to be aware of them, but at the end of the day we should probably be more focused on writing new material than on temporary issues we have little control over.

Jeremy, My point is that not having the stats or monitor my work is disconcerting. If only we could have some update or something posted on the board would be helpful. No news is not good news.

Mine seem like they're alright.  Maybe a touch low but mine fluctuate quite a bit so maybe not.  Haven't checked earnings yet. Thanks HP team for getting the updates working again!
Edit:  Actually I was looking at the wrong number.  Mine are way down as well.  by about 75 - 100.

I saw CPI's rise considerably the last couple of weeks.  They had dropped, but are now back to nearly what they were a couple of months ago.  Most likely a seasonally change, but was pleasant to see.

My views dropped by like 60 ... it feels wrong.

What I noticed is that my traffic from Google took a real tumble. Yuk!

  18. Gregory DeVictor profile image100

Also, my best performing hub historically is not showing very many views now. However, another hub is really taking off with Google. That’s a nice balance.

Mine are finally starting to creep back up.  Not sure what happened or why it affected views or if the low views was just an artifact of some kind.

    2. Kenna McHugh profile image92
Kenna McHughposted 6 years agoin reply to this

Oh no, it looks like it is happening again. The views are not updating, 14 hours and counting.

      1. Natalie Frank profile image92
Natalie Frankposted 6 years agoin reply to this

16 hours and if my views drop again I don't know what I'll do.  I truly wish they would actually weigh in on this, answer an email or simply make an announcement as to what is going on.  If this is going to be a regular thing they need to let us know what it means.

I agree. An update would definitely be nice. My stats have said data from 3hrs and earlier all day. I have checked it at least four times today. Views keep going down as well and I'm seeing blue arows on a lot of my hubs. Two of which were my top two performing hubs and now they are getting less than half the views they were getting a week ago. My total views are down by a third. It would be nice to know if these are true numbers or if the data is not working properly. If these numbers are true that's very concerning to me.

  19. Gregory DeVictor profile image100
    Gregory DeVictorposted 6 years ago

My overall traffic is about the same but my hits from Google are still way down from where they were a week ago. Maybe that data has not been updated recently.

    1. Kenna McHugh profile image92
Kenna McHughposted 6 years agoin reply to this

I am very concerned as well. The data on my end is down as well. This is very rare for me.

  20. Gregory DeVictor profile image100
    Gregory DeVictorposted 6 years ago

Kenna, I mentioned earlier about my “best performing hub” taking a tumble in hits. Well, it still is and I have lost over 90% of the traffic, most of which comes from Google. However, this loss is being balanced by more hits on two other hubs. I agree with you that all of this is quite confusing. I’ll keep you posted.
