Editors removing and adding entire paragraghs to my articles

Can someone please help? The edits to my articles are ridiculous.  In one article, the editor added several entire paragraghs, changed wording that wasn't grammatically incorrect, removed links that were within the allowable parameters set my hubpages.

One article I looked at barely looks like my article anymore.  Some of the verbiage they replaced is even offensive to my and potentially my readers.  Ex: referring to all unborn babies after 20 weeks gestation as embryos.

What is happening and what can I do about it?

Personally, I'd put them back the way they were. I'm happy to have minor edits and corrections, but big chunks? No. Like you said, it becomes someone else's writing.

      Are they getting much traffic?

      Hi modern housewife,

Can you let me know what article or articles you're referring to? Go ahead and post links in your response so I can take a look and see what's going on.

I recently had an article hubpro edited. The editor added some information she researched, some of which I disagreed with. I didn't put my article back the way it was, but I re-edited it, removing some stuff and changing others. I kind of got the idea of what she was trying to do, adding more factual information to my personal experience.

I deleted my last comment. But I just got an email that "we have finished editing your article" i looked at it and was immediately pissed off. But after reading it in its entirety, it was an absolutely amazing edit. I was upset at first because I saw a bunch of deleted text right away. It had actually just been moved further down into the article. Rearranged so to speak. The article looks amazing and I couldn't be happier. Excellent job!

Most of the time I have found that the suggestions and changes from editors have been spot on.  Once in awhile you get an editor who goes a little crazy.  When that happens, I file a complaint with the team. Sometimes they talk to the editor and fix things, other times they explain the changes to my satisfaction.
