Is there somewhere we can see a breakdown of earnings per article?
It's a good question and it would be interesting to know if it's possible to see that info. But one thing you can do is see which articles get the most traffic and those are most likely your top earners. - considering Hubpages pays according to impressions, which means they pay according to how many times an ad is seen by a visitor and whatever it is advertisers are paying.
