Hi, Hubbers! When it's correct to use the Amazon capsules in the article? Recently, in my article "All about flying or paragliding with your dog", the hubpages editor have removed the Amazon capsule offering some canine harness suitable for paragliding. This is despite the fact, that the article contained the information about this harness and recommendations from the real life paragliders.
I saw many hubs here containing Amazon products, but without personal recommendations and they were not cutted by the hubs team.
Use an in-text link instead. So when writing about this product, highlight the item name. Click the chain link on the toolbar. Select the Amazon tab and the product should be right there. Click it and the link will be created automatically.
Thanks for the help! Those hubs were actually with in-text links. Now it's a little scary to add a link again, because they warn that if to add back problematic elements article has a very high chance of moving back to hubpages or becoming defeatured.
So an in-text link may be even without personal experience with product?
No, you still have to demonstrate that you recommend the product because you have used it.
I don't add Amazon links to all my hubs, only where it seems natural to do so.
Can I recommend a product citing other person's experience?
You could probably say "my sister uses hers all the time and it has made her life considerably easier"... That sort of thing might work.
Also, some of the team are very new, and I'm not always sure they know what they are doing. More than once they've removed my amazon text links. I simply re-added the links, and the page went to niche site.
Oh I'd get smoking angry, but that's just how I'm wired up. It's not that big a deal to re-add things like that. Everyone makes mistakes. I did get messaged once to ask had I really used that product? The point is to make sure you explain some how and why you felt the product was great.
I have also seen numerous recent articles (in the past few months) with Amazon links just added without any type of recommendation or personal use stated, also with numerous links in an article that doesn't meet word count requirements. It is frustrating when it seems that most of your Amazon links are taken out when they do meet the requirements and there's only one in a 2500-3500 word article. There are a lot of editors here and unfortunately that makes for a lot of inconsistencies. When it effects our potential earnings it can be a problem but other than adding back what was taken out and hoping for the best there's not much that can be done about it. Good luck.
Maybe some editors simply don't read our articles properly and to the end? Imagine how many articles need the edition for a day. But everyone is supposed to be good at his job. It would be good if there was a virtual book of complaints and suggestions
Most of these sub-standard hubs will be on hubpages.com, not on the network sites. Hubpages itself, is now just a holding area. Articles which pass the quality standards will be moved to the networks. Those which don't may have been hanging around for years. They won't be getting any traffic, so just ignore them. I have a few of my own

Hi everyone,I am having issue with the Amazon Ad Capsule as when I insert my Amazon Link, there is no preview for it and all I see is "No Amazon products found" . But when I check the link in a separate window, it works and loads the same product. Even after publishing the article, I...

I am yet to successfully publish any articles with amazon products. I am trying to be clear on the requirements for these articles. I thought articles should be limited to 1-2 products, however I have seen list based articles with multiple products (ideas for gifts) on niche site, Holidappy. Would...

Why is it that excessive links to Amazon products seem to be permitted when they are added to the body of hub rather than as a Module on the side? In my naivety, I did not realise that this was permitted. Will these links survive when hubs are selected and moved to the niche sites?

I am almost ready to publish a new article, and I want to add two Amazon Capsules. I know how to do it the old way. But I saw on lobobrandon and a few other's hubs a different way. There is just an orange "A" and what looks like a hyperlink, and when clicked, it takes the reader right to...

I understand the rationale for removing amazon capsules. I'm very careful not to include amazon capsules unless they are 100% relevant, and I can provide a personal opinion. I rarely do more than one per hub.HP is not only snipping amazon capsules on hubs for niche sites, but also just to have a...
