Not complaining, but my traffic is through the roof (for me anyways) the past two days.  Has anyone else noticed the same thing?  I write gardening hubs and usually at this time of year, my traffic is falling as the gardening season winds down.  I'm wondering if it is because of the long holiday weekend here in the US (the increased traffic is coming from the US) combined with bad weather over most of the country equals people spending time indoors and online instead of outdoors at the beach or other outdoor activities that are normal for summer's last hurrah.

You are probably correct as to the reasons for the surge.  However, I will say that August, for me, proved to be the biggest month I've ever had for views, even though I'm still "in season" with my main site.

As you know, it's also the niche I mainly write in, but nope my views are on a steady decline as is usual during this time of the year. Hopefully the labor day weekend is not the reason, if it isn't this boost could go on for a while smile

I am happy to hear your traffic is up. Traffic is up for my dengarden articles and looking good with Google ads, too. My other HP articles are holding their own as well. All in all, they are uptrending.

August was the best month I've ever had here in terms of views & revenue so I have no complaints. Onward & upward!

Mine is always up on Sundays and Mondays. Now it will decline towards the end of the week.

It's interesting that each of us have different standings or circumstances.

If it's for one specific article, use GA to analyse whether it could be referral spam. The symptoms are often zero view duration and traffic coming from the same city or URL.

It's most of my hubs, not a single one.  That is why I am so surprised.  It's not unusual for one of my hubs to suddenly gain a lot of traffic for a day, then fall back to normal.  What's unusual this time is that there is more traffic per hub than normal for this time of year.

Yesterday was slightly down today a bit up.  My views seem to stay fairly stable through the week.  I haven't noticed good days or bad.  Last October was my best month ever so I'm hoping for an even better one this year!
