    Hi Hubbers,

The email I got says "Every product in the article should contain significant, useful information beyond what can be found on Amazon, as well as your personal experience and opinion. Always provide this information when adding products or reduce the number of products in the article."

My article doesn't have anything from Amazon other than links to the products I recommend using. And all of it is based on my personal experience. It also includes pictures I took. Any ideas as to why this is being rejected? Thanks.
Here is my article: How to Get Rid of Bad Odors Coming from Your Dishwasher

You were probably caught by some overzealous editor or some robot.
On the paragraph "To make sure the dishwasher was as clean as possible, I ran an empty cycle using Dishwasher Magic. I recommend doing this because it will help to clean out any gunk that's left behind but it also cleans parts you can't take out like the spray arms. It also kills bacteria and removes limescale build up." you should change the words dishwasher magic to a link so that you can remove the Amazon capsule. The capsule will not be seen by people using adblockers, the link will stay.
On the next sentence change it to "This is a product that I bought from Amazon that I recommend because it will help clean out any gunk ...." You can add another sentence stating that it kills E.coli that can live in your dishwasher.
This should be acceptable to HP after the changes. It is a useful article.

It's probably because of the constant references to Dishwasher Magic. Can you swap it out for a generic term? Also, that product isn't available in all countries, so isn't relevant to me in the UK, for example.

I think you need to cover all the methods you can find for eliminating odors, just focusing on one product isn't really useful.

You've written a useful article. I'm guessing that the moderator thought it was promotional because it's about specific products. I don't know whether this is possible, but perhaps you could advise people to find products containing a particular ingredient or combination of ingredients instead of mentioning a specific brand.

Thanks for the suggestions. There were five references to Dishwasher Magic. I took out three of them. It is the most popular dishwasher cleaning product so I don't want to completely remove it. Hopefully it's enough to pass.

It seems pretty clear to me what the problem is.  Instead of leading with an Amazon link create sections with headings.  First what is the problem.  Second what is the general solution, third recommend a specific product. Fourth give experience based recommendations on how to use it.  Each section with a clear bold heading.  Right now you lead with an Amazon link which I think comes across as more spammy than problem solving.

Besides the fact that the link is so near the beginning of the article, it doesn't sound like you really loved the product, as demonstrated in this quote, "There was still no noticeable reduction in the smell. Some dishes also had either a white film or dried in grime after being washed. In fact, some actually came out dirtier than they went in."

That doesn't sound like much of a recommendation. Nobody is going to buy that product based upon that review, so what good is the link?
