I just made a big, technical paragraph, my finger slipped (I'm on a Macbook) and now the page is blank and my whole article is gone.  From time to time I see a blurb pass by that says something like "draft created blah, blah, blah) but how do I recover it?

      Hi, Loretta,
I always write my articles in my word processing program, copy and paste to the capsules, and edit as I go. It tends to help.
      Interesting comments here.

I've had it happen that when I think I've lost test I go immediately to my stats page and pull up the article.  Oftentimes it's been saved there, even though I didn't push any "save" buttons.

Sounds like a good second plan.

I'm not sure if you can retrieve it, but, please, from now on, create your articles on a separate wp program and set it to Save as often as possible. I use Scrivener, which is cost-effective and originally designed for Mac. Saves every time the keyboard is inactive for 2 seconds.

I know that is little comfort, but you said it's just a paragraph? You'll have to bite the bullet and rewrite it. It may even be better than the lost version.

Thanks for that advice.  I should have thought of it myself - writing "offline".

It was actually a bullet list of several items with an explanation of each bullet, so kind of longer than a paragraph.   I was just done and I accidentally did a two or three finger swipe or something, and... poof!

Click the green dot at lower left of text capsule in edit mode, you might get lucky.

I've been here almost 5 years I think and I never noticed that green dot, let alone that I would've known what to do with it. I'm greish with still a lot of blond smile

to paradigmsearch...YES!!!  That did it.  I was thinking of a draft of the overall article, not the individual capsule. Thank you so much!!

BTW, hopped over to your profile.  I saw your different numbering systems article.  I used to be able to read hex proficiently, and read the binary lights all over the old Univacs 9which used to be Sperry Rand)

Fun to be a dinosaur, eh?
