Several of us are confused and concerned. Healdove articles being moved to niche sites; no impressions and no earnings. They are not being added to list of auth sites with Google.
Also, getting warning that the Healdove sites are missing pub ID. Please someone, reply. Have emailed support and not getting any answers. We can't add to auth sites because we can't get to root. Thank you.
You have to add the website root to Adsense, that's about it. But if the Pub-ID is missing, that is something HP has to fix. As Bev, says, post on the other section.
Hello! IF it's not an issue with Adsense, shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with some more information so we can help you out!
I did email @team and I got this response:
"You can ignore this warning, it will eventually be removed. Ads.txt is appearing in your account. Your AdSense ID is in this list...(omitted)...which means you are earning money."
But there are no ad impressions showing on my Adsense page.
I used to get a substantial number of impressions and fair earnings when they were all on Healdove. Now that most, except two, have been moved to Patient's Lounge, not even 5 impressions is showing for Healdove.
Definitely, I've been losing income for nearly 3 weeks now.
Thanks for posting this. I found two sites I had forgotten to add to my Adsense. Both suck right now, but something is better than nothing! I think it would be a good idea if the team would just automatically add these sites for us if possible. It would eliminate many problems.
I added but can't verify..how are you verifying? Thanks!
No, they cannot do that. It goes against the whole concept of you getting to choose the websites you allow your ads to be placed on. If third parties could control this, people could take your code and place it on "questionable" content and get your Adsense account banned.
Received this email back from Matt from HP today! Hallelujah maybe they are fixing it
I received a response from Matt today! I guess they're aware of a problem or something
It's possible that staff don't monitor this section of the forum. It might be better to post in the Technical Questions, which is monitored:
I get confused on this one aspect. We have to add niche sites to our Adsense account ourselves. HP doesn't bother to do it for us?
I added but getting error because I cant verify
There is no need of any verification. Are you sure you are talking about Adsense and not Search Console? Because Search Console is the only thing that needs verification.
No. We are talking about Adsense and the ‘add site’ function.
Yes, we add sites manually, but it’s been impossible trying to add PatientsLounge.
I added PatientsLounge.com and it accepted for me … seems to be verified with a green check beside it or I'm reading this all wrong. Maybe they fixed it?
Viryabo, I just looked at your articles and I can't see any on PatientsLounge.
Similarly, Lisa, you have none on Healdove.
That's why you get the Adsense warning. Your .txt code is not on those sites because you haven't got any articles there.
All you have to do is remove the sites from your Adsense list (on your actual Adsense account) and the warning will go away. You are not missing out on any earnings.
Edit: It's easy to check... go to your HP account/stats page and use the filter to display Healdove or PatientsLounge. You will then see where your articles are posted.
I have a second HP account asides this one. That's where my Healdove and Patient's Lounge articles are. I only post on the forums with this account since we are not allowed to use our other account(s) for posting, and must just stick to using one.
I have 14 articles on Patient's Lounge and 2 on Healdove.
Am I allowed to name my second account here?
Ah, right. I understand now. You can name it, but only the team can help you.
Hope you get this sorted out soon.
I see. Yes, that rule is meant to prevent people from supporting themselves in discussions I guess. People have posted from their other accounts here with no issues. For something like this, it would be allowed, especially a link or a profile name. But as Bev says, it's best if the team could help you out.
Hmmm okay. I checked articles one by one and have some in Healdove...
I have pethelpful in list of auth sites. Checked source code in patientslounge and wasn't there in my 3-4 articles. Any ideas?
After all 6 emails I guess they are thinking maybe there is a problem... Hang in there guys I'm trying
Not in list of adsense sites. Pethelpful is but not patientslounge
They cannot do it for you. Look up my previous post here.
This entire post confuses me. I thought affiliated sites were automatically under the AdSense program. Hmm.
Adsense publisher IDs are public as in people can get your Adsense ID by looking into the source code of any of your hubs. As per the Adsense TOS if your ads are shown on any content they disapprove of, you can lose your Adsense account. Therefore, they have a system where you enter the websites you trust with your Publisher ID. By default it is set up to allow all websites. So if you did not change this setting on the Adsense website, you do not have to do anything.
Well, now I am really confused.
My adsense sites include my own sites plus hubpages.com.
This thread made me think I had to add the niche sites also.
When I tried to add https://exemplore.com I got an error message: "This url contains a restricted domain"
Do we need to add the niche sites our articles are moved to, (from Hp.com), to our adsense list of sites?
And now I am even more confused. My "Account" page says I am active in HP's ad program, but it also says my adsense account is active under "External Affiliate Settings"
Can I be active in both? I think I would benefit more from the HP "impressions" ad program than I would from the adsense "click" program.
Hope somebody can answer these:
Do I need to add niche sites to my adsense sites list if I am in the HP ads program? If so, what about that "restricted domain" error message?
If I am listed as active in both, which program am I in?
GA, I was confused by the thread as well, so I emailed team@HP and got my answers. Your situation is a bit different from mine because I am on the HP Ad program. At Google AdSense page, you should be able to see if your niche sites are listed. Click on sites, you should see them there. If not, then email team@HP.
I tried to add PatientsLounge and got this message
for submitting your site "patientslounge.com" for AdSense.
The team has now reviewed it but unfortunately your site isn’t ready to show ads at this time. There are some issues which need fixing before your site is ready to show ads.
For more information, visit the 'Sites' page in your account.
You can find more details and application tips in this help article.
We encourage you to review and update your site. Once you’ve done so, you can request a review. Our specialists will review your site for compliance with our Program policies, so make sure to resolve all of the issues.

I don't know what's going on. If you type in view-source:http://your article url, you can view the page and see If your pub ID is in it.
But do ads show? HP places the code, but from what psycheskinner says it seems like the website has been flagged and will not show ads until certain issues are dealt with. If you are not using the HP Ad program, this sounds like a good time to make the switch. HP needs to deal with this problem themselves as it seems like a site-wide ban so to say.
I was using HP but my views are so low, as I've lost over 70% traffic and most of my articles, I switched just to AdSense so that perhaps maybe I could earn $0.50 a day. Are you also having trouble with AdSense and the code? You say it seems like a site wideband, but are you experiencing that too! I have emailed hubpages several times I'm not getting anywhere
No, I have not had problems, because my articles are not on these health niches. Yeah, moles are also scary to some apparently.
But they were just skin moles. They thought that the moles were grotesque LOL
I did some reading and Google changed some of the way they are doing the AdSense with partner hosted sites. This is what it says and patients Lounge is not added or Healdove to third party access. I'm not real tech-savvy so I may not know exactly what I'm talking about or if I'm correct, I just have not had any AdSense earnings at all over a week and disco'd Hub program as I'm doing an experiment again to see what I can figure out. What are your thoughts Brandon?
That is how you set up the website. But, from what you are saying for this new niche site, it seems like Adsense has put a red flag on the entire domain. I can't say for sure. This website is full of pages that have images and when many pages have warnings (images of moles and stuff like that), Google may black list the entire website.
All you need to do or can do is this: Go to Sites > Add sites as in the image above and add this URL there and click save or whatever it says: https://patientslounge.com/
Anything else is something HP needs to work on unless you specifically get a warning on one of your hubs.
I think that is the issue Brandon, you can't add it under 'add sites' as it no longer lets you.
I just added it to my account now. It does not show, I'll give it 24 hours to see if I get an ads.txt warning, I think I should.
That's interesting, where did you add it? Which site? This is what I get when I try:
That's not the screen. It says Add a new site, not Your site.
Login to Adsense, find Sites on the left sidebar just below Ads for search. Then click the blue plus button. I added patientslounge as that was the one with issues.
I have waited for about 3 weeks now, but it's still the same situation.
Yes I did that a couple of weeks ago. Patients Lounge is still not coming up. I do have healdove listed in the authorized sites, however, I've been getting a warning from Google about the ads. Txt not being in one of my healdove.
Not sure if you saw my previous problem today, but I went to view source and o the and of 2 of them so far, of the pub ideas of AdSense are wrong and on the other 5 articles that I've done so far, there is no ad code at all
I also forgot to mention that about three weeks ago I was getting several warnings from AdSense about certain articles being against policy for the pictures that I had up. I had a picture of a hot spot on my dog's tail which got a warning, I also received a warning for pictures of moles, believe it or not! I had to review and resubmit and there was another article and I don't even remember which one that was. I contacted hubpages and they said it was a Google problem and I had to contact them. I don't know what is happening except that I was making payout with no problem for a good few months, now, I'm lucky to even make enough for a half a cup of coffee at the restaurant
I'm getting really confused. I think there have been some changes with adsense. I have only recently started getting messages that my ads were showing on sites that I had not listed. Ads had been on these sites literally for years. So this is definitely a new thing. I have previously earned money through adsense on the niche sites but now t looks like my ads are not showing on them. I will go in and add them and see what they say :-(
Right, I tried to add wehavekids.com to my list of sites and it said it was a third party site so I had to see if it was in my list of third party sites. Here is the help message and my list. There is surely something going wrong here!
Same problem here! I did what you said to do Brandon....arghh
Are you two sure you have set it up so that you only allow ads on websites you approve? Because the screen still looks a lot different from the screenshot Butterfly put up here.
Thanks for the screenshot. I was going to add one tomorrow. But I have a feeling that they have not set up the "allow ads only on sites that I approve, option" or something else.
I deleted them... because when I click on Add Site it shows the page that Butterfly posted. It's nothing like it was previously.
So there is a problem, and staff need to get this sorted out.
Here's screenshot of my verified sites. Patientslounge is not in it.
Mine doesn't say anything about 'verified sites'. I'll post it again.
Mine looks like yours Bev but I have no niche sites showing on my list and my hubpages one is showing as 'not reviewed':
After I added Patients Lounge in list of sites its saying in review for almost two weeks now. I've emailed the team three or four times and I can't get a response back. The last response I had was a couple weeks ago and they just said to ignore the ads.txt from healdove. I guess I'm not going to cash out from Google for while...
I have the same situation. So Bev, if a site is ready does that mean we still have to insert the Auto Ads code into the page ourselves or will this happen automatically? And we don't have to do anything?
OK I have just drilled down on my reports and the data for the site wehavekids.com stops at Monday 7th January 2019 so that is when the ads stopped showing for me.
OK let me correct that, all 5 of my niche sites stopped showing ads after 7th January 2019.
This really needs looking at now please Hubpages staff
Have you checked the source code in your article at all? Not sure if you saw my comment earlier but my Pub ID is wrong in a couple of them and five of my Niche sites at Patients Lounge are missing the code... Nothing
There is just a blank space where the ads should be so I know that they are not showing in the adsense space at the bottom of the article.
I'm not really even talking about the blank ad space. I'm talking about the pub ID code for AdSense is not in some of my articles. There are several that have no ad code, not even hubpages, and the other articles have my wrong AdSense number... It's a different number but hubpages ad code is still there
I sent my problem in to the help email the same day I posted it here. No reply.
This is getting quite worrying. I have all of my other niche sites added. PatientsLounge is the one giving me this message, even after nearly three weeks:
"Reviewing your site
We're still running some checks as part of the review process. Sometimes reviews can take up to 14 days.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that you don't remove a site that's still in review. This can delay the process. We'll notify you as soon as your site is ready.
In the meantime, you can still place the code on every page where you want ads to appear. After our checks are complete, your site will be ready to show ads."
Same here! I have a lot of my articles in patients lounge and it's giving me fits I get the same message you do. Have you checked your articles to see if your Pub ID is in it? Mine has wrong ID numbers and also there are a lot of articles that don't have any code at all!
I added patientslounge with no issues whatsoever. I do have the ads.txt warning from letterpile, but no issues with this one as seen below. Also, there was no long verification process with them having to "check" my site. It was all automated. I tell Adsense: Hey I want my ads on this site to be counted as my ads because I choose to place them there. There's some other setting that you folk have different to mine that is causing the issue. I don't know what that is.
P.S: 40% of the time your ad code will not show because it's HPs ad code. So you're going to have to refresh an article a few times to see if your ad shows. You can't do it just once and say the publisher ID was wrong.
On the articles that are missing the code or not showing ads, check if ads are disabled (by the team) because they got a warning about the article being against the Adsense TOS.
So if when I click on Sites and see Ready next to each site does this mean they are all OK, I don't have to do anything because Auto Ads will automatically do it for me? I can't recall seeing Ready before....I'm certain when I've checked in the past they were all Verified.
I clicked on Reports and in the sub-box - Verified Sites - all of the niche sites I entered are there so I guess that answers my own query? Sorry to bore you Brandon!
I tried adding Patients' Lounge too. I have no articles there but I've been able to add other network sites before. Didn't work this time.
Thank you for submitting your site "patientslounge.com" for AdSense.
The team has now reviewed it, but unfortunately your site isn’t ready to show ads at this time. There are some issues which need fixing before your site is ready to show ads.

So Brandon … like you … I have "verified" site with all niches, including patientslounge … no ready or other pending status, so does this mean that is all I need to do? If so, that was simple. Everyone else's additional issues are confusing me, and I'm thinking I might be missing something here.
I think you got it right. Make sure by confirming that impressions show for Patientslounge. Bev knows how to do it and she did the same thing and has issues. Apparently, you and I are the only ones on this thread that have no issues. Maybe we're special. Who knows?
I received warnings from Google a couple weeks ago regarding my ads being grotesque or as violent. It was pictures of moles, LOL! But I did resubmit it to Google and so therefore, I have no more policy violations. But the ad code that is missing and or wrong, is on several other pages.
It does seem like people have 2 different sets of settings. I wondered if it was location based (I am in the UK) but I'm not convinced it is...
I can add healthproadvice to my list of approved sites but not healdove.
I have articles on both sites but the one on healdove has no ads due to the topic.
I too am having problems. I tried to add patientslounge to my sites on Adsense and was presented with some HTML code to paste into my pages.
I'm trying to add more sites to my adsense approved sites.
The sites I have hubs on:
holidappy - restricted
healdove - restricted
owlcation - restricted
pairedlife - restricted
remedygrove - restricted
toughnickel - restricted
wehavekids - restricted
healdove - restricted
Sites I have been allowed to add:
The ones allowed were already there, and I'm pretty sure I added the others in the past, so I don't know what this means.
I do have adsense impressions even most of the sites that I haven't been able to add as approved sites.
Hubbers do not need to add patientslounge.com or any other Network Site to their existing AdSense account to earn. If your AdSense ID is associated to your HubPages account, it is automatically done for you. Check your status here: https://hubpages.com/my/earnings/affiliate/
If you are receiving a warning or message from AdSense about patientslounge.com regarding earnings. Check this link for your AdSense ID. If it appears in that list, then you are set up correctly, and you can ignore the warning from AdSense.
Yup, but if you have opted to only allow ads to show on sites you approve of, you need to add patientslounge.com to the list. This approval ensures no one can just place your ad on any website out there, thereby protecting you from possible bans if someone scrapes content and has an Adsense DMCA filed against them.
Yes! That is correct.
Yes but some of us are not able to add new sites if they are 3rd party ones. You just get a message saying "please go to the host partner to add this site to adsense". See image
There has been a change to adsense. Some people may not yet be on the new system by the looks of things but those of us who are have to verify every site, there is no option to opt out of verification. See this article for what I think is going on:
https://www.searchenginejournal.com/goo … ed/275925/
Hey Matt thanks for trying to help us again. I just checked my AdSense reports and I checked for a lifetime just to make sure I had all the sites listed... patients Lounge is not listed in there and I have not earned one penny (in Patients Lounge) since they switched over. I'm not getting any Impressions either so I know that it's not in there. What are your ideas? Sorry, I'm not real tech-savvy, but I know the basics, sometimes anyway LOL.
I believe it was you who said we did not mean to add it because we are already registered under hubpages, but if there's no Impressions and there is a wrong Pub ID, wouldn't that affect something? Thanks again
I'm not receiving any warning from adsense about any niche sites but that is probably because I don't have any niche sites in my list of verified sites. I have had zero impressions on any of the niche sites suddenly after 7th January and I have sent an email to the team about this. The ad space is blank and my ID is associated with my HubPages account. There has definitely been some kind of change in adsense and I am now not earning anything at all from the niche sites due to this. I really hope that someone is looking into this as it is not the same issue as the warning issue that people are/were getting.
I received an email back today stating everything was fine. That's what I got and when I check it what happens is sometimes the ad code is there and then if I refresh it and I check back again it's gone, another problem I have, is one of my articles has a total wrong Pub ID number for me! In the pub ID code you should have your number, followed by another group of code which would be hp's
Everything is not fine! The ads are not showing on my profiles full stop. I know how to check the PubID. There are no ads in the adsense spot. Have you done a check in adsense reports to see if ads are showing? My reports show that all ads stopped on 7th January.
No, I have not checked that. I'm going to see if I can figure out how to do it real quick, if you want to leave a short note on how you did it that would be great. I probably do know how, but it's early and I don't feel like thinking LOL
Hi weezy, probably too late as it looks like you have got some reports off but I went to the Reports section, then clicked on Sites. I changed the date span to be the last 30 days. Then I went to filter the results (top left) and chose to filter by sites and then chose any one of the niche sites that came up. For me all of them stopped showing impressions on 7th January (I think because I didn't have any of them added before).
Thank you, Matt. Yes, my code is there, BUT, why is it not listed in the Adsense "Sites", just like the others?
And from what I have observed, there is nothing to show that there are impressions for Patient's Lounge, which was NOT the case when they were listed under Healdove.
That is what I find baffling. With Healdove, I consistently had a fair number of impressions. Now, I have zilch!
Hi Matt! Thanks for trying to help us. I also checked my adsense reports, and there is nothing fom patients Lounge from last month or this month at all. The hubpages only are in there, no patience Lounge Healdove, or pet helpful. I checked all of last month and I attached February's can you please give us some insight? I emailed hubpages team again I don't want to be a bother if I'm wrong, but I have not earned a penny in over 3 weeks and I usually have something everyday. I am only using adsense only as of right now for an experiment that I've been doing for a week just to see if possibly they are just getting used by HP. Not the case with the reports though.
Matt posted in this thread on how to verify your Adsense at HP.
You obviously didn't read my post Kenna, along with the screenshot of what happens when you try and add a new verified site. Unfortunately that doesn't work for those of us who have had the verification process changed. The team are aware that I have a different set up to what they can see (and I'm sure others have too) which is explained by that article I posted a link to above. And I will repeat that it is not possible to add sites in the way Matt said when you have the new set up.
Replying to Matt Wells. Thanks for the link. I checked and my code is on the list.
I received this mail from Adsense . . . "Good News! Your site Patientslounge.com is now ready to show Adsense ads"
I've checked my Adsense and see that it's already added.
I hope others with similar issues have had theirs sorted too.
May I ask what you did to get that message? I have added it to the list of sites and I get nothing except in review and it's been like that for a month.
Nothing really. After I tried adding PatientsLounge that one time and got this message..."Reviewing your site. We're still running some checks as part of the review process. Sometimes reviews can take up to 14 days"... I did nothing. I guess maybe it just took much longer than 14days.
Okay that's what I did but it's weird because we really shouldn't have to add them it should be automatic according to what the HP team told me in my email
Just curious, are you seeing any earnings from it finally, from patients Lounge?
I got the same reply weezy. I think they realise there is a big problem for some of us so hopefully this can now get fixed.
I would like to know how many people have actually contacted the team. I just checked my articles again, and the pub ID keeps disappearing and/or wrong. I also realize that if you use HP also, their ID will be in the source also.
I know that I've had at least one click out of 3 weeks and I'm using just AdSense alone because I'm wanting to see if it's possible that I was just getting HP ads, but I was earning a little bit through them so I switched it just to AdSense, and absolutely zero, nothing, nada.
I would be tempted to switch back to HP Ads but I don't know if you have the same issue as me. I have no ads showing. Regardless of the fact that my Pub ID is showing on my page on my share of the impressions, the ads aren't showing because the sites are not listed in my verified sites - so there is a blank space where the ads should be. If you don't have a blank space then maybe you have a different issue.
Great, this is what I got in my email today from Google.
Oh dear weezy not good. I was able to add patientslounge too, as it came up with a different message (getting ads ready) but I couldn't add wehavekids as it said that it contains a restricted domain.
I'm purposely resurrecting this thread because it does not seem like anything has been done to fix this issue. Despite assurances from the team to look into it, I don't see any changes. I still can't add wehavekids (and other sites) to my list of sites on Adsense and I still have blank at space at the bottom of the article where my publisher ID is.
I know that 98% of my income comes from HP ads but it's not really good enough just to let this slip and not do anything about it because for one thing that means I will never have the option to switch to Adsense only as I would earn nothing.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I know that some people have different settings on their accounts but one way to check is to see if all of your ad impressions for a niche site stopped on 7th January and another is to check whether you have blank ad space (when your PubID is showing, not HP's) at the bottom of the article before the comments.
Oh and although I managed to add patientslounge a while back it now says by PubID is not showing on that site.
It took me two months of contacting them and they kept telling me that it was fine..(it wasn't) also, I'm not sure if you have or not, but Google has now changed it where you personally have to add the URL to Google AdSense it's not considered a redirect from Hubpages anymore.
Have you been able to add niche sites yourself then weezy? I tried but it still says I can't add them :-(
I'm unable to add them. The message is slightly different than it was a few months ago but still no joy.
I cannot remember what I had to do because I had the same problem and I'm going back through my steps to see what I did. Did you go into your Google dashboard and add it? Not in Google AdSense, but in your Google search console?
When I click next I get the message in the black box at the bottom of the screen ("URL can't be added as a site")

Hopefully someone from Hubpages HQ can look into this.I believe that those of us that are using a hosted account with Adsense are not getting any ad revenue on impressions from the niche sites.I base this on the fact that my daily impressions on Hubpages vs Adsense differ by a factor of about 100....

I just read on another thread that we must add the niche sites to our AdSense account. I don't know anything about this and don't know how to do it. Could someone please give step-by-step directions on how to get this accomplished? I don't remember hearing about this when the niche sites started....

If you apply for adsense through hubpages, that would be a hosted account. In order to use that adsense id on your blog, you need to submit that blog to google for verification. Once that is done, you will be able to use your adsense id on both sites. I think there would be separate calculations...

Well, that’s nice, very nice. I haven’t got a clue of what I did wrong. And after filling in the online appeal form they told me they had reviewed my account information, taken my feedback into account, but still had concluded that my AdSense account has posed a significant risk. And I have no...
