For a hub I haven't yet published, I've noticed that clicking the "done editing" button doesn't seem to work. Other capsules work fine, and I exited and reopened the hub, but the issue persists.
Hmm, anyone else having a similar problem?
Hiya, I just went into edit mode on a hub to check, and yes you are right! Its not just you! So this is the best place for Hubstaff to check it. Don't worry, its obviously a glitch.
Thanks for reporting this issue! Clicking "Publish Now" and "Done Editing" does work, it just does not give confirmation. I'll report this to the engineers to take a look.
Done Editing is a useless button because any chances you make to a capsule are live the minute you hit save on the capsule. Just so you guys know if you don't already.
Yep, you are right. That button is a placebo. Even when we don't click it, we are still ratted out to be reviewed. I know, I tried.
Damn. At least I'm not the only one who thought he was being smart
If memory serves, it did work at first, but HP caught on. I'm pretty sure they watch me like a hawk ever since years ago when I figured out how to post on closed threads (they fixed that as well).
But now that they can't see you, isn't it different? They can't watch you when they can't see you.
By trial and error I had noticed that saving a capsule does what it says, making 'done editting' an additional safeguard. It's useful to know for sure, for the times I forget the 'done editting' button when I'm in a hurry to move on.
My worst experiences have been when I am in the middle of a lengthy capsule and suddenly the Hub Pages site stops responding. That's when I lose anything that hasn't been saved. Now I try to save at the end of each paragraph to avoid rewriting.
Yup, when I write here, I save after every paragraph too. I've had instances where I lost stuff.
It's true and if it's a bug, it's there for years now. If you look at some HP tutorial hubs around here you will see that people say you should hide a text capsule while working on it if the hub is already published etc, so that current viewers don't see a work in progress.
I haven't been around long enough to review any of my hubs yet. But when I do, how do I go about hiding capsules I am working on?
I copy the content into a new capsule and hit the hide capsule option.
To be technically accurate you click the box after "Don't display this capsule:" if you what to edit in stealth mode.

One or two of my hubs have fallen victim to the "does not meet quality standards" empty bubble. In one case, I imagine it is because the hub falls under the "purely personal" category, better suited to a blog. That's fine. I can move it. (It's an older hub...

Admittedly I haven't been able to publish anything in a month, but I just published a new Hub and I normally add in all the tags and keywords at the end. However, I can't seem to find the Tags button. I then tried editing a previously published hub and the same thing - the button seems to have...

As I plow through the lenses to become hubs, two of them I edited do not show the change date of the edit although the updates are visible. Since I am using the date to keep track of the edited lenses, I keep re-editing them but the original date never changes. Is this an issue on HubPages or a...

HP Seriously needs an "Undo" button, so when I delete a capsule by mistake, I can click undo, and not lose an hours work. Crap.

I have a suggesting regarding a picture capsule - how about adding a few editing options in there?Whenever I want to put a pic into the hub, I have to run it through a photo editing software, even if it's a small change I'm looking for. If I'm using a lot of pics, that's very time-consuming.Editing...

I've been going through all my hubs, removing the sidebars and come across a strange bug that appears to be getting worse.I open the edit screen, then edit a text capsule. Close observation tells me it is a little small, or at least the font seems small. But when I try to click on a...
