I am about to become so pissed I am gonna dump this site. How the hell do I delete article? I have wasted a LOT of time trying to find this answer, if it is here somewhere it is so hidden it can't be found. WHY would you intentionally annoy people like this? A search bar in the help section is too complicate or what?
It's at the top of every single page you create. You hit 'edit,' and from there you can delete.
In fact, after looking at a page of mine, you don't even have to hit 'edit' to delete. You can just delete.
It's maybe the single LEAST HIDDEN feature of the website. Perhaps another cup of coffee would be in order, this morning?
Please do not allow your frustration to get the better of you. If you haven not been very active on the site it can take awhile to learn the ropes. The more you interact with HP, the easier it will get. If you are signed in you can see a bar at the top of each article witch includes edit, stats, questions, and delete. It's right there just like that product in the grocery store that you just can't find until a helpful clerk points it out right in front of you.
When I first got on here, if I became too frustrated (or with anything else)I've learned to just step away and allow your brain to settle down. It's hard to think clearly when you are in a dither.
Thanks, but it may be too late. I don't have a lot of free time to mess with learning if it becomes too difficult.. In addition the first response was from an ass trying to make others feel bad and themselves feel superior. NOT my kind of people......2besure hit on the problem. Contrary to what "ass" posted you have to UNPUBLISH first because the delete button will not appear till you have. That finally solved my problem. I do very much appreciate the kindness and encouragement.
1964human, click like you are going to edit the article. Next click 'unpublish" and then "delete"
Do I need to do Both UnPublish and Delete? What is the difference.
I do delete only. Just curious to know!!!
Unpublish leaves them on your account, so you can republish them at a later date.
Deleting them wipes them from your account.
Note: if there is ever a future dispute over copyright, unpublishing or deleting means the original publication date is lost.
Thanks so much. It was all I needed. Hit unpublished first!!!

If we want to "remove" some hubs that are under achieving to test whether our other hubs increase in traffic, as a result, can we simply unpublish them or must they be deleted entirely?

Some of us have mentioned deleting low-performing articles from your Hubs. I sense they do it because it increases views/impressions. How does that increase views/impressions?

Hello Beautiful souls,I currently have 161 featured articles on HP. The majority of them are already on Network sites. A few of them have been in the editors' queue for about 9/10 months. Actually, there were more than 161 articles. Over the course of two months, I deleted nearly ten of my...

I have read many, ( a zillion) hubs in the last month or so and some of them mention the removal of non productive hubs. Could you add a section that we could put these hubs, like an inactive section, but still keep them? I am unwilling to delete any of my hubs, good or bad.

When trying to edit, unpublish or delete hubs that are too old or not seeing any traffic the program seems to freeze/I end up having to do one or two at the max a day...I do not think its my computer as this is the only site where this occurs/is anyone else experiencing difficulty similar to this...

Please could someone tell me how to delete a draft (not published) Hub? I have saved a number of Hub titles with the intention of writing and publishing them but no longer want to write on these subjects. I can see how to delete a published Hub, but not a draft one. Many thanks.
