Does it make a difference in the long run

The earnings (CPM) aren't any different, but the traffic is generally better. More traffic = more money smile

I can't figure out how to post in forums on mobile so I guess I'll ask in this thread. Can I post amazon links in q&a? Or even in comments for that matter? Fake example..."hey great article, but the nylon brush I use to scrub the tile doesn't seem to work so well"... (Me).."I personally use this(amazon link)brush to clean pools. Is that allowed?

I'm new here so pardon me if this is a dumb question. Do you notice that it takes time for hubs in these niche sites to get traffic? My articles have scores between 65-80 (Not sure if that's good enough to get traffic or not) and are on ToughNickle, LetterPile and Delishably. I published several this week and I can't really tell if anyone other than me is clicking on them.

New articles take time on all websites. If your older ones are getting traffic then don't worry about the new ones taking time.

I have just a few articles on the niche sites and can't say I've noticed any difference in earning.

I would wait for others who have a lot more hubs at niche sites, hey might have a different story to tell.

No, that is not allowed.  In fact, there are rules as to what is allowed for amazon links on your own articles.

Ok. Most of my income has been Amazon as Dengarden has taken a hit. Last year I was around 3,000 views/day this time in May. Earnings have plummeted to around 12-$15/day compared to $20/30 Day last year at this time. Amazon sales have made up for the loss this year, that's why I asked. Are you doing well on Hubpages? Looks like you just recently joined but thanks for the info

Hey Rob, not sure if you get this, but Dengarden is doing just the same for me and new hubs are doing really well already. I did lose like 20% Google traffic for one of my Dengarden hubs compared to last year, but that is because I lost the search snippet to a video. Rankings have not changed, I am still #1 for all the terms and I track my keywords. It could be the same with you.

Brandon, that's awesome! Maybe mine will pick up, it's all about the weather for my articles and apparently last year was one of the hottest Mays' on record. I'm still down 50% from last year.

Oh I see. More heat = more green pools. Makes sense I guess.

I thought we could post Amazon links in Q&As, but the same rules apply as when posting in the main body of text. There was a thread about it some time ago.

That's what I was thinking. As long as it's relevant (as in my example) should be ok as far as the "rules" go. Doneta, please post a link to where you are saying this is not allowed. Anyone else have any insight on this?

You are not allowed to post more than two affiliate links per page pointing to any particular website. Technically a QnA gets its own page. So you should be allowed two links to Amazon (links using your ID and not the inbuilt system that switches 60-40), but I do not think you are allowed to post self affiliated Amazon links at all, even on hubs. If they are Amazon they must be the 60-40 share. Try contacting the team via email about this.

I guess I was wrong.  I am still a newbie.  They are so particular about posting amazon on hubs I just assumed they would not allow it on forums.

Rob's not talking about the forums, he's talking about the Questions & Answers on articles on the network sites. Yours may not be activated yet. If they are, you will see them here:
