Usually there are at least six or seven panic stricken threads asking "My stats haven't updated in 25 hours! Is everything OK?" by now.

I wanted to post about that 2 hours ago. But I ended up watching Baywatch reruns.

It's a running joke. I figure the admins are off playing video games. No worries. My CPM is up like a rocket ship.

Constantly updating stats are horribly addictive. I find myself visiting several times a day, wondering if the Google God has made me extinct or showered me with rewards.

Or as Brian Stimpson, once said...

“It's not the despair. I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand."

I shamefully admit it sometimes gets worse than checking for likes on Facebook.

I've learned myself to never worry about things I have no control over, because that's a waste of energy.

I wouldn't devote a thread to one. But you know, pretty much everything we think is secondhand.
