Okay, I'm sure it's not much just my opinion, but I wish the Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter etc. icon, would be the actual icon colors than just orange. I find it very difficult to even notice them on top of my screen on my mobile device... Why can't the Facebook be blue, the Pinterest icon be red, Twitter etc.
Agreed, and I brought this topic up before before, but the answer is probably that blue and orange colours on white is the theme that they want to maintain sitewide. Displaying the number of pins, tweets etc beside the icons might encourage readers with "sheep mentality" to share, but apparently it's too resource consuming to have to go to social media site's servers to source these stats.
Agreed on the amount of pins and shares showing. However, I see a lot of websites, even my own, where sharing icons do not display the amount amount of shares, pins etc.
I just think it would really stand out because if your on your mobile device, as most of us are, they aren't noticeable and I hardly see them because they're at the top and there are so bland basically.
I think it would really increase the amount of shares, which would be more profitable for HP, Amazon and of course, our earnings., That may be my opinion, but I am also a reader and shopper etc. I am also looking at it from a visitors point of view.

Just wondering what sites Hubbers use to promote their articles? I have seen a lot of changes over the years with some sites no longer allowing links in forums or comments, and some article sharing sites just going away. I primarily use Facebook and Twitter these days to share my...

The social network share button in hubs is too small for people to notice.I feel that if it is made larger more people can like/share our hubs, given they like it.

I don't get into these fights and disagreements with what HP does on a regular basis. But I looked at my Hubs and I only saw the four sites; Flipboard, Pinterest, Facebook and email in my share icons over the past week or so. What happened to G+ ?????This one doesn't make sense to me considering...

Having been on HP now for more than four years while kinda' inactive for the last two I am looking more closely. I have cleaned up my portfolio from over 100 hubs with low views to now about 10. I had a lean of writing more for self than as a business venture seeking a niche. Now, I am looking more...

A few years back when I did Examiner.com, the writers were always talking about where is the best places to promote our work. I feel like once you use all your social media accounts, hit up any forums related to your topic, reddit, and network with people you know, you're really out of places...

If we pump up our use of social media, i.e., marketing our articles more, will it help increase our traffic much? Or won't it make much difference because we are more dependent upon organic traffic? Something tells me we might have to wait out this drought. What say you?
