I would like some help in improving one of my featured articles for migration to a network site, namely Owlcation. The article is "The Best Laid Plans by Sidney Sheldon: A Book Review". Its url is https://hubpages.com/literature/BookRev … LaidPlans.
This is the correct link:
https://hubpages.com/literature/BookRev … tLaidPlans You put a period/full stop at the end so it didn't work.
The introduction is a little weak. It really doesn't matter what you were doing when you decided to write the review
What you have done here is to produce a synopsis of the plot. A review takes into account the quality of the writing, whether the characters are fully formed, if the plot is believable, and if the writing is flowing and coherent. A review is not just about praising a story, it's about critiquing it.
A clever and useful review doesn't give away too many major plot spoilers either. If the reader knows what's going to happen, they are less likely to buy the book. There's a definite art to writing a good review.

I'm new to the site but I used to write for Examiner.com so I'm trying to get used to what it takes to be featured and how to best promote traffic? What worked for you?

Hi Guys.. I wanted to improve the quality of my existing articles. Can you please provide some links to a few articles which are of very high quality so that I can understand a bit more on how to improve my own writing style? It would also be great if you could give any suggestions.
