Hi. I'll share one thing that I noticed. There were others, but the main problem that I saw was the excessive use of the word "project". The repeats interfered with the flow of the article and my appreciation of what you were trying to say. After I read the article, I checked the word frequency and found that the word "project" was used over 100 times. This number is far too high.

This is a case where the sentences are grammatically correct, but come across as if written in a foreign language, maybe Bureaucratese, because they are heavily laden with sesquipedalian words and sentences that are heavy on the corporate catch phrases but short on actual content or useful meaning.

It sounds like another reason for a made-up job and level of organisational and managerial non-productivity. It makes me wonder how we ever got jobs and contracts completed back in the day before we had all these layers of management. big_smile

Pardon me for thinking this article reminds me of the American humourist and former bureaucrat James Boren who wrote about the "the vacuumental thinking and idiotoxicities of Washington." The piece is so full of wooly verbosity as to be almost unintelligible.

"In many companies that perform project work on behalf of clients, the work order may serve as a key component of the project charter. In these companies, the work order gives specific people authority over organizational resources."

      I rest my case.

It reminds me of the meaningless corporate jargon heard in the movie "Office Space."

Nisha. You should start a separate thread seeking advice rather than tacking your request onto someone else's posting.

I took a quick look at your "Day of Lights" article and found a lot of English grammar errors.

Science has proven if you have a detailed plan, you are two-three times more likely to follow-through. Thus, the business world has embraced, especially for large projects. Often we see project managers for large business projects such as construction or IT. The PM serves to lessen risk by risk analysis in combination with scheduling and monitoring.

In ancient philosophy, Seneca, detailed 'prematitio malorem' which is nicely outlined in this video:

around 6:38 showcasing the planning is about asking what can go wrong and making a plan to mitigate the risks. Imagine negative visualization that can serve to lessen risk.
