New people: can I respectfully suggest that, before you waste your time writing blog posts or promotional articles, you spend some time researching what HubPages wants?
As a freelance writer, I would not dream of submitting an article to a magazine without checking the editorial guidelines first. And neither should you.
Go here: https://hubpageshelp.com/ And stay there until you have read as much as you can. Remember that you can brush up your skills anytime by clicking Help, top right, and navigating to the Learning Center.
Good luck!
Could this please be a sticky at the top of the Getting Help forum? It's getting pretty ridiculous. Although it is also sporadically entertaining.
I don't know that the people asking for help are even looking at the forums before posting. As I recall, several years ago HubPages set up a system which sends an automated email to the author each time an article is rejected. The email suggests the author turn to the forum for help and even includes a link the author can click to automate the process of posting a new thread asking for help with their rejected article. As far as I know, this system is still in place. This is why all those requests are worded so similarly -- posting for help is an automated process the author can opt into by clicking the link.
A stickied informational thread might help a little (it certainly wouldn't hurt), but IMHO unless HP revamps the automated rejection email, these frequent and often fairly clueless posts will continue.
Let me echo your thoughts (can thoughts be echoed? Probably not, but you know what I mean).
Blimmin' heck, Rupert, I think I can hear your voice in my head
Then, you are indeed a lucky lady. My voice has a sonorous and mellifluous timbre, or so I've been told by a couple of profoundly deaf people.
I couldn't agree with you more theraggededge. That is exactly what I did, and now a year later; I nearing the 500,000 landmark.
And I fondly remember you being among the first persons to help me where my articles' feedback was concerned.
I think most newbies are caught up with the idea of making money but aren't willing to make the necessary sacrifices that will add value to their articles.
I completely agree with you! in fact, a great suggestion by a great hubber

I have noticed a few questions asked by newbies that have been asked before and so many times it is probably impossible to count. I have noticed comments of annoyance at the same questions being asked yet again. I am sure at some point I will have been here long enough to get every bit as annoyed.I...

Can I post an article to ezinearticles which I have already published in hubpages?

Am I wrong about this? I just assumed it was a big no-no to post content that someone else created, and that we found posted somewhere else on the internet or published elsewhere - including recipes that aren't ours or someone else's how-to-make instructions - regardless of how much other content...

Despite hubpages having a great FAQ, and heaps of help that is easy to find, we all learn a bit differently, or at least I did. It took me a while to find the hubbers I could learn from when I first started to write here.I was wondering if it would help for some of us experienced hubbers to list...
