A hub I posted eleven (yes, ELEVEN) years ago has suddenly been boosted into hub stratosphere.
Over the years it has gathered many favorable comments, and has consistently had 1 - 3 views per day for a loooong time. Suddenly it has shot up to about two thousand views a day for no discernable reason. NOT complaining, mind you. I wish I knew the secret to apply to other articles.
This may be a short-lived phenomenon, so I will bask in the glory for a moment.
It is second on a Google page when searching for the subject and has a couple of featured blurbs on the niche site.
It has also gained a hubscore of 100... which I have not seen for awhile.
This may be a passing fancy--- but for now it it an amazing boost.
This may be a hint to others who think they have a good article that is not gathering views--- you don't necessarily remove it.
Great fun. I wonder, did you alter it in any way?
What an uplifting report! Thanks for sharing this terrific news about your article that has achieved well-deserved recognition. May it continue to prosper!
That is good advice to leave hubs alone other than occasional updating. Congratulations on the sudden increase in views. May it continue!
Congratulations! I've had a couple of hubs that languished for years suddenly take off for no apparent reason, but never in the thousands of views. I'm impressed (and a little envious). Fingers crossed that this keeps happening for you.
Congratulations, Rochelle! That sounds like wonderful news. I hope the increased views continue for a long time.
I'm not counting on continuation, but happy to see it. Thank you.
Thanks, Wesman. I am a very lucky person. I have more than I deserve, but I like this one a lot. Wishing you well.
It is a fun ride, but I lived near Disneyland for many years and am aware tha rides can come to a sudden end after a lot of surprises, swerves and ups and downs. Hoping for an E ticket.
Cool beans Rochelle! Someone apparently linked your story somewhere.
I had an article on my blog that got shared on Reddit. It rocketed up to 60,000 views in 2 days. Sadly then it tailed of to 20 per day. lol
I hope your new found interest has staying power! Sometimes just getting a link on a popular blog or site can make all the difference for months or years to come. Best Wishes
What a wonderful surprise, Rochelle. It gives us all hope that anything is possible. Maybe this popularity will spread to other articles of yours.
It has had a slight effect on other stats, but I can see that the views are coasting downwards toward more normal ranges again. It was fun.
Congratulations Rochelle, and I echo the thanks of others for sharing this encouraging and pretty amazing experience with your article. May the Creative Flow continue with you!
Thank you techy, views on this on have quieted down a lot but they are staying at a much higher level than previously.
Congratulations Rochelle! I think this is a wonderful surprise.

Many people have done much more in a much shorter time, but I rarely promote except for a tweet now and then. It's nice to see the totals.

..a huge surge of 8000 views on a modestly performing article. Not complaining at all, but how do I find out why and where this is coming from? ("More, please.")

I have had several creative writing hubs that went idle quite a while ago. I left them idle because they will never garner Google traffic because they aren't informational hubs. Tonight, it shows ALL of my hubs as featured, including those old hubs. This includes about a dozen...

Hey guys, just wanna share this appealing yet satisfying feeling of mine... One of my hubs just got 1,353 views just for one day!!! I still can't believe it... is it too good to be true? I did not know what I did, but this hub skyrocketed its views for almost a month right now.. I am really...

Is 9150 views good for 50 hubs in 5 months, or are my hubs just boring? After 5 months and 50 hubs, I have 9150 views. Is this average, or are my hubs not very interesting?

I finally wrote 200 hubs and I've surpassed 100,000 page views. My 200th hub linked together many of my hubs pertaining to small businesses. It's gratifying to know I finally reached another milestone. Thanks to the many of you Hubbers who have served as inspiration during my time here.
