What date does Hubpages pay out monthly checks? Is the estimated date the 28th of every month?
As viryabo noted, today, January 28 is payday. Payday is the 28th of every month. You will receive your earnings from December since the January earnings are still accruing. Next month, on February 28 you will receive your January earnings and so forth. If your earnings are less than $50, they will not be paid out until your total earnings have reached $50.
Alas, no payday for paradigmsearch today. December didn't make it. However, December plus January makes it; so February will definitely be a payday. I've been used to paydays every month, but it is starting to look like those days are gone. However, it looks like I'll still be getting paydays every other month. Whatever will be, will be.
This is useful to know, as I did not know there was a specific payday each month. I have yet to reach the $50 threshold though, but hopefully I will soon.
You need to get your articles transferred to the niche sites to make any money. Articles that are on HubPages don't earn more than pennies. The money is all on the niches sites. You are allowed to transfer 1 article every two weeks.
Thankyou OldRoses for the information, I didn't realise you could transfer them yourself, I assumed the Hubpages team did that, though I do have a few articles on the niche sites. Thankyou very much for that.
You have to submit them for approval. Visit any of your hubs that are hosted on Hubpages.com and it should say 'Submit to a network site' at the top.

So i've finally reached the magical $50 and i was wondering what happens now. I read online that they do payouts on the 28th of each month but that occurs in the month after the limit was reached. Does this mean that even though i achieved the $50 mark on the 27th of may, i will have to...
