I've recently started publishing articles on different topics here on hubpages. And I was looking forward to grow my audience. So, what's the best way to do that?

It depends on the topic.  Personally, I use FaceBook and Pinterest.

My topic is usually top 5 lists and stuff related to media and entertainment. I made a Facebook page with my friend yesterday to promote my content there too

One of your articles has the URL 5 Weirdest Food Delicacies, but the title is Top 5 Diet Plans For You To Follow.

Although the URL doesn't have to be the same as the title, it needs to have some correlation. If you are changing the topic, it's best to start over.

No I'm not changing the topic. The original topic was weirdest delicacies, but then i decided to change THAT to Best food diets. So that's why that little mistake happened

You are missing the point and misreading the grammatical construction of my sentence. Let me change it. Your title and url should be similar and on the same topic. If they are not, then it's best to begin again.

Pinterest is the only one that's worthwhile. You could also setup a Facebook group or page.

I find social media traffic pretty worthless, even in terms of SEO. They do provide short bursts, and sometimes, ensure a small amount of traffic every day.

However, advertisers pay little for these, if at all. The common believe is that social media traffic can be easily manipulated, thus "worthless" for advertisers. Frankly, I think working on the SEO of the article is far more beneficial.
