    Since quite some time I am getting this message on my Adsense dashboard

    Add your publisher ID to these ads.txt files
    caloriebee.com/ads.txt
    holidappy.com/ads.txt
    hubpages.com/ads.txt
    To prevent severe impact to your revenue, copy and paste the following line into each ads.txt file:
    google.com, pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, DIRECT, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    It may take a few days for changes to update. See the ads.txt guide for more details.

    How do I fix this?

    Rajan, as per my understanding Adsense is now delinked with HubPages. So how does that message matter anymore. Anyway, let us hear from other members.

    Remove the sites from your AS accounts and the warnings will stop.

    My problem is not at Hub Pages. It is at my own Google Blog.
    They say one or two sites are missing the ads.text link and ask me to add the ads.text file to the source of those sites. I do not know how to add the ads.text file.
    They say to download the code and copy-paste it to the source page. But, I do not get the point. When I added the text to the HTML gadget from my blog layout, it did not work. There is no other alternative to do it as per my knowledge. Does anybody have suggestions?

      Go to Google Adsense and in the left column click on "sites".  This will take you to a page where you can add your blog if it is eligible for adsense.

        My issue is not adding a site. I want to know how to add the AdSense code or the adds.text file to my blog. There is no provision for it in the layout gadgets.

          I haven't been able to do it either on one of my WP sites. I managed to do it on the most successful one, which is a sub-domain. However, I cannot for the life of me fix it for the main domain site. I've tried everything I can find and it still won't work. As it's not a high traffic or high earning site, I'm ignoring the issue now.

          I suggested that option because it worked for me.  My apologies if it didn't work for you.

            The problem is you have to past a small piece of code into the root directory of the site. It's not anything you can do from Adsense. The reason we could do it with HP sites is because they already had that code in place.

              I don't mean to be difficult, but in my case I did not paste any code into my website.  It was a while ago that I did this and don't remember exactly what I did, but it was done in Adsense, rather than the backend of my website.  I'm fairly certain that I did go to the add a site page and do something, can't remember what.

                Sorry, Roses. You might be confused. You can't paste any code as it is through the AdSense gadgets. You can paste only HTML text. (The HTML text may contain some code also in its body).

    My blog is Wordpress powered, so the only thing I previously did was to add my publisher code to the header of my site. I did this via my Wordpress Admin Dashboard, specifically APPEARANCE > THEME EDITOR > header.php. I added the code, generated by AdSense, right before

    Nowadays, I use an Ad Inserter plugin  to manage it. I simply paste the HTML generated by AS into the fields of that plugin.

    Oh, within AdSense, I added my site URL via what OldRoses wrote.

      Did you add the code just before header.php?

      BTW, site URLs are added by clicking the add site button within AdSense A/C in Google Blogger.

        I previously updated within header.php.

        Just b4 <body>. But before </head>

      I tried a couple of plug-ins too, but they didn't work either. I uploaded directly via my Hostgator Control Panel, still no luck.

      I'm going to try your path as you've indicated above. So thanks for that. I'll let you know if it works.

      Edit: When you say 'right before', could you tell me where on this screenshot? Sorry for being obtuse.

        Previously, I placed this right before </head>. </head> itself is before <body>

        But this was over a year ago. After changing my wordpress theme in Jan 2019, I no longer need to any code within header.php (I believe I edited some settings in AS too; I allowed it to auto manage my ads)

        Within my Ad Inserter plugin, respective ad blocks then contain my publisher code. For example:

        <script async src="//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>
        <!-- New  Ad 1 -->
        <ins class="adsbygoogle"
             style="display:block"
             data-ad-client="ca-pub-4***************"
             data-ad-slot="************"
             data-ad-format="auto"></ins>
        <script>
        (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
        </script>
