The Amazon Issue

We are now in the second month of this Amazon situation and we know no more than we did a month ago. While on some level it is understandable that HP isn't sharing details it is also extremely stressful and frustrating. Writers may (or may not) have lost hundreds or in some cases thousands of dollars in earnings last month with no real explanation as to why.

Respectfully, I ask that HP management consider doing one of the following:

    1. Assure us that our data is still being tracked and will be accounted for when this situation is resolved.

    2. Allow us to switch back to our personal Amazon accounts to mitigate some of these losses.

    I prefer option one.

These are stressful times and people are struggling financially. Being left in the dark isn't right.

    Please consider it. Thank you.

Thank you for posting Eric. Yes, it is time for us to have an answer or for us to use our own accounts, if HP is going to withhold information on Amazon sales, negotiations and commission earnings to be expected going forward.

Just out of curiousity, how would we "switch back to our personal Amazon accounts?"

The way it was set up before, we put in our Amazon affiliate tracking code and our code is shown 60% of the time and HP 40% of the time. The button is not available any more on the earnings page if I'm right, they removed that option when they made the revenue share using the HP tracking code the only option.

They would have to revert it to the old way.

It's just a request. It may not be reasonable. I don't know what it would take to change it back. And of course if they think this issue will be solved soon it wouldn't make sense to put the effort into it.

I agree, I just explained what you meant as Caren asked about it.

I agree and until we receive a very solid, detailed word on what is happening with our income, I'm taking a break from HubPages and refocusing my energy. This is frustrating and sad.

Matt Wells has posted on another thread that Amazon is not able to send us our sales report for 5+ weeks now. https://hubpages.com/community/forum/34 … r-may-2020

I would still like to know what our new commission rate will be.
