Anyone else experiencing a significant drop in traffic?

      Actually the opposite.

Kind of. Yes for some articles, but the exact opposite for other articles.
I've been experiencing quite a significant jump in traffic on DenGarden
The CPM however has been a bit strange, some days it's really low and other days it jumps

You would have to provide more details, which niche site are you referring to mainly? Things don't happen the same across the board for a long time now. My traffic on Dengarden is normal.

My traffic on Dengarden is doing its annual post-May slow decline.  I'm not concerned because it does this every year.  What I am concerned about is the sharp decline in CPMs so that even though my traffic is higher than this time last year, my earnings are lower.

I think CPMs also depend on subject matter. The only time I have seen numbers this high has been before Christmas.

I'm not sure about Caren, but I assume hers would be the same as mine as both of us are mainly on Dengarden. I see the highest CPMs during summer and not Christmas.

People probably buy pets and gifts for pets in Christmas big_smile

Agreed.  CPMs are highest in the summer on Dengarden.  December is slightly higher than November and January.

Yup, December is higher than the others in the quarter.

My CPMs are still the highest they've been this year, June has been good in that regard. Still quite a bit lower than last year but due to my traffic being more than double last years numbers and the CPM not lower by 50% I am seeing increased earnings. The Amazon cut isn't helping but so far all is good. I usually have a drop off in the first two weeks of July.

Same here, highest CPMs so far this year but significantly lower than last year.

CPMs have me pretty upset. On my AdSense properties, my CPMs are much higher. :\

Owlcation traffic is poorer than it was a couple of weeks ago. Dengarden is holding up.

No, my traffic is up for some niches actually. Where are you seeing the drop?

Mixed. Some things dramatically down, others up. I think it's the effects of the big Google algo change gradually feeding through. Maybe they've done more "tweaks", as they do.

Traffic started its downward plunge in January. Most of my articles are on either Owlcation or Soapboxie and my traffic has dropped by about two thirds despite posting 30 plus new articles.

I get the feeling I'm Google's public enemy number one.

Pethelpful traffic is up to last year's good traffic and CPM are pretty good as well.  People have been getting new pets in record numbers thanks to Covid.  However, I did see that there was a new trend towards people returning animals to the shelters, which makes me sad to hear.  Hopefully they will be snapped up by people still eager for a companion.

I have been getting a fraction of the views I used to get, since March. It's so bad that I've gone from making payout every month to no payout. I write almost exclusively on travel, so I guess that's expected. Even for my articles featured on Google snippets I am seeing pennies a day.
And it's not only views that are down, CPM is also quite depressing.

There's been one or two algorithm updates in the last week (possibly).
