Can non-featured, published hubs merit amazon monetization or should the hubs only be featured to monetize amazon capsules?

If an article is not featured, no one sees it so no one will be reading it and potentially clicking on your Amazon links.  Work on getting your article featured then worry about adding Amazon products.

Thank you for the reply. Can we add amazon capsules after getting the article featured?

HubPages wants us to use text links instead of capsules.  I don't know why the capsules option is still available.  Use a link instead.

As long as the link contains a tracking ID it would work, so non-featured hubs can be monetized by Amazon.

      Hi Brandon,
What do mean by tracking Id? Can you please specify.
I have put a link in my content linking to amazon product, so amazon know that it has come thru my hub page. So if amazon get a hit, they know its from a referring link of hubpages,
So I have just to link to amazon in my hubpage a/c to check the stats

Am I right? And if you say tracking id, who puts it , Hubpages or Amazon. I guess Amazon only can put it for tracking? they have it in their ASIN number

Please clarify Brandon, as your inputs are very valuable on the forums.

      regards

Click one of your Amazon links and observe if the URL has a ? followed by some code ...-20

If yes, you will get your share of commissions. But as OldRoses said, there's no point unless you have a way to get traffic to your articles through social shares or something else.

          Hi Brandon,
One more query. For non featured article, can we put the amazon capsule after getting the article featured?
Or will it revert back to non featured?

And when does the earning of dollars show after you first register? It says that it takes many days after the 30th of the registered month to reflect maybe next month's 30th.

Do the impression and click data show after a/c linking? I mean the clicks, dollars etc.. Right now it's not linked

First link it all, then worry about the reporting. Payments are delayed not reporting.

Yes, you can edit an article later and it doesn't become unfeatured unless you add spammy elements or unrelated amazon ads. If the reason your hub is not being featured is because of the amazon ad, then adding it later is not going to be very helpful.

Also, use text links instead of capsules if you can. That is preferred.
