What happened to the search function? We used to be able to search for a particular author or article. That seems to have disappeared.
When I have found a 'search' box, it doesn't search within Hub Pages, but takes us out to Google!
What's up with that???!!!
Good evening miss DZyMsLizzy. You probably need to sing in with google. Then, you need to sing with hub pages before searching for an author. I wish you a good night.
I find the search box does search within HubPages, but I have to scroll down past the first results.
I just checked it out using a search for your name and one of my articles. Surprisingly they were both the first result. I usually find the HP Search function really bad. (EDIT: Alicia already covered the fact that the first results are typically not what you were searching for)
If you are being taken to Google you are probably entering the search function on some sort of browser taskbar. Make sure you use the magnifying glass icon next to the Write Help buttons on the top right corner when on desktop.
Only on the end of the search results page will you find an option to use Google Search for DzyMsLizzy on Google is what I saw.
Yes, as Brandon said. You can also click on the search button in the hamburger menu on the left side of the window (where all the article categories are located).
Okay, I found that spot to search, and it does bring up results. However, the link to the articles isn't really a link; it isn't clickable. The only thing that works as a link is the author's name, and that just brings you to their profile/front page, from where you still have to search for the article you want. And at that point, there is no further search utility, and if they have a LOT of hubs, that's a lot of scrolling to do to try and find the article.
It used to be better.
I'm not sure what you mean. I searched for one of your articles and it popped up right away. The link below the article title was never clickable. You need to click on the article title to go to that article.
When I search for your name, that link is not clickable either. You need to click on the username.

What has happened to the search function??!!It used to be easy, and intuitive to use; we could look up a category, title, or author by name or pen name, and it would be found, or come close enough to easily find. Now, the search function is totally useless! No categories come up, unless you...

Something strange is going on. I have a hub that's been doing really well for years. It was hub-pro edited a couple of months ago and traffic increased by a couple hundred a day. Over the last week or so it's hovered around 750 per day. Overall it has almost half a million views.Today, views are...

Good morning Hubbers!I'm trying to learn on how to make my articles more search friendly, so have been ensuring the title and description match more what an internet user might enter in the Google Search Bar. For example, this article is entitled "Top 5 Haunted Campsites in Wales".This...

I wanted to share two trends I see in content that are very successful today. The first one is what I call the opposing argument to the search term. Google wants balanced search results. You will often see articles that promote a very positive sentiment, but rarely will you see opposing or...
