I unpublished this article more than 5 hours ago originally and it has been live ever since: https://levelskip.com/strategy/Age-of-E … ough-Guide
Of greater concern, I noticed that none of the edits I made, even outright deletions of capsules, were respected as long as the article was unpublished.
I had to republish this article in order to actually delete the live content from Levelskip, as again, every last block was still visible on LS even though I had deleted half the total blocks over the course of several hours.
On top of that, since I tried deleting all the blocks first, which again had no effect, I actually had to re-add blocks just to re-publish it, and get Levelskip to update, then delete the blocks again, to actually empty out the article. Before doing so I was getting complaints from the editor that said I could not re-publish my content because it was lacking in content, even though I was just trying to delete it.
I then submitted it for outright deletion, yet said article is again, persisting after hours. It's empty, but the title still exists which is limiting my ability to have it removed in it's entirety.
This is an issue that needs to be resolved asap. I am not comfortable with the way I am being prevented from removing my content after this new site update.
I just return from visiting the article. What I observe same as the theraggededge. I agreed with her. But I would advice that you delete the entire content, that means the title, video, and comments at once, and republish the same article again. It may be while you were deleting in block (or paragraph?), you keep deleting until you delete the entire content unknowingly?! But let alone the comments.
Thanks for reporting. We will look into this issue and work on a fix.
Ugh... I can't see the article but I see a big mess with a video at the top with 'Levelskip' overlaid on it.
Then your title.
Then some comments.
I don't want to republish it. I want it gone from this site entirely. I already hit the delete article button. The reason you are only seeing the comments and title, is because it is the only thing I can't delete as an actual capsule. But to get those capsules deleted, I had to make the article live again.
This is what I see on my end.
Let me also clarify, I understand how this is *supposed* to work. What I am saying now is that it isn't working right.
Here is another example: https://levelskip.com/strategy/Age-of-E … ough-Guide
Notice how I deleted the article already, then deleted the capsule, yet it is still showing up on levelskip? This is what I was saying happened in the OP, and it stayed that way for hours unstil I un-deleted the article, removed the capsules as it was "live" then put it back in the delete que. That was the only way I was able to remove it.
It takes 24hrs to delete an article. I don't remember if it's suppose to be live in that time or not though. When you delete an article a popup comes up saying it does not permanently delete for 24hrs. If you edit or republish the article you would have to delete the article again and wait 24hrs from the re-delete.
Was it showing the article scratched out and deleted in your articles section at all? Even while still being live on Levelskip? If not, that is definitely concerning.
Prior to the new format change, any article unpublished or deleted, immediately produced a 404 not found at the article's URL, unless you are the author and logged in, which allows for instant processing in Bing/Google and Yandex search removal tools. This was the way it was for all the 10 years I have been here, up until just 3 days ago.
Now this is suddenly no longer the case, and there has been no mention of it I have seen. The article's 24 hour que, was for it to be removed from your account entirely, but there was never a delay for the 404 not found. I know this because I unpublished an article from Levelskip right before this happened and it was immediately 404'd even though it still had 24 hours to "fully delete"
Now that the database has moved to Maven change takes a while to reflect. Before it was immediate, but now it can take a while is what we were told by the team on some of the first forum posts about this move.
This is the first example where we see that it does take quite a while.

I can't believe what's just happened. One of my hubs was scraped and stolen. No big deal right? Happens all the time and its something that seasoned online authors get used to after a while because hunting thieves down is almost impossible. Well here's a new twist. Hub Pages found the stolen...

Do you have hubs that stay at the bottom of your hub list no matter what you do to them? Is it the unappealing subject matter, boring content, too short, oversaturated topic, poetry, or something else? I have about 5 or 6 at the bottom of my barrel of 83 hubs. I'm curious about why and wonder if...

Hello Beautiful souls,I currently have 161 featured articles on HP. The majority of them are already on Network sites. A few of them have been in the editors' queue for about 9/10 months. Actually, there were more than 161 articles. Over the course of two months, I deleted nearly ten of my...

Some of us have mentioned deleting low-performing articles from your Hubs. I sense they do it because it increases views/impressions. How does that increase views/impressions?

I have 8-10 articles that have got zero views over the last 30 days. They normally pick up some views, but this month I noticed they got none. Some are recent articles, others less so. Some have thousands of total views, but none in the last 30 days. So, I have decided to unpublish them for now...
