Does this format of 5-7-5 line syllables work. They taught me this in school but again the 3 lines can't cover enough content.
If you’re asking if haiku works as a form of poetry, then yes, I think it can be very effective, depending on the skill of the writer. Some writers are able to create haiku that contains beautiful or interesting imagery or that conveys a significant message. Writing a haiku that is meaningful can be an enjoyable challenge.
If you’re asking whether a single haiku would work in an article on HubPages, then the answer would be no. The article would be far too short. You would have to include multiple haiku or add related information in order for the article to be accepted.
That's what I was worried about. So I need to include more.
Well, I see you have a poem "A Planet Full of Love" moved to Letterpile. It only has three lines like a haiku. I would not have expected a poem that short without any other text could be moved to a niche site, so I know nothing.
Hi Jodah, I appreciate your reply. I was posting to clarify before writing more.
Jodah's post has shown that the second paragraph in my previous response was wrong. I'm glad for your sake that your poem was switched to a network site and I like your haiku, but I have to say that I'm surprised that such a short poem would be moved.
Yes they do, a poem is a poem how short or how long it may be. The editors don't edit on poetry though.
I certainly agree that a single haiku can have value as poetry. I was just surprised that one haiku was considered long enough to be published on a network site. It’s good to know what the site accepts.

Does it bother you when people call any short poem a haiku? As a haiku poet, does it bother you when people write a short poem, usually one that follows a 5-7-5 syllable pattern, and call it a haiku? Don't you wish people would learn what haiku is? I love the form, but I'm usually let down by what...

I have a question. I just did an hub which is a prose that was an interpretation of an art (say, Vango Gogh). I think it's considered prose. I can't find anything that would make it unfeatured unless maybe it's not an article, poem, or set apart prose? Is it the nature of the hub?Spelling and...

I feel concerned that the reason google may prefer ehow as opposed to hubpages, is because there is an abundance of poetry and short stories. I am not by any means saying that those who publish the short stories and poetry are not good, but they are not usually searchable or high market. I...

How come Hubpages is suddenly asking us to login? When I click on login, it takes me to the feed page where I am logged in.

Quick questions on new Q & A:First, I'm just curious about on average how long people's responses are. We've talked about making answers longer for quality and ranking purposes but I am not writing most as anything close to as long as a hub.Second, in regards to length - if I do write an...

Lately there have been plenty of hubs that are totally useless to the hubber community. There's a lot that can be done to make the life of the moderators easier.I just used the hopper again and took a note of the major problematic hubs:Just plan advertisement hubs -- Get rid of them by...
