Some time ago I had filed a DMCA with Google because one of my PetHelpfull articles had been stolen. I tried but couldn't reach the website/host it was sitting on so I filed a DMCA in order to remove the article from the search.
Tonight I got an email from Matt saying that Google had removed my url in stead of the infringing one. So I immediately filed a counter DMCA. No wonder my views were decreasing a lot on my most viewed article.
Thanks Matt for letting me know and thanks for keeping my article alive.
Just wondering if you inserted the urls the wrong way around Titia? You should be able to check this on your Google DMCA report dashboard, which is in the webmaster tools.
I don't think so. It's not the first DMCA I've send them.
The copyrighted work at issue is the text and photos that appear on:
As far as I know I have to insert my article url here
The URLs where my copyrighted work is being infringed upon include:
As far as I know I have to insert the infringing url here
Google has been increasingly slow and reluctant to respond in the case of my strikes. Recently, they refused to remove 4 infringing pages, citing lack of proof. They even reinstated 4 Russian clones of Delishably.
It is horrendous but I think there is little to do. I think you were right to counter. Outside of that, we can only refile.

I wanted to share an email that I received four days after filing a DMCA complaint against copied material I found upon searching. This is not the first positive result I have had from various DMCA complaints filed with Google. It is not hard, does not take a lot of time and you get...

So if I look at my Google DMCA dashboard, several of the websites reported for copying my hubs show as "approved" and no longer pending, but if I go on the link, it's still live, and these are links I have reported back in October, so not sure why they are still live. I have read...

Has anyone had any luck getting material removed from Course Hero? Is it worth filing DMCA's? The only reason I am even finding the content, is by doing Google searches of different paragraphs from my articles. HP has not alerted me to any copyright issues. I wonder if it is because the whole...

I'm wondering if my best articles that are being copied can still be claimed as copied if the editors are making drastic changes to it.It really isn't the same article that the thieves took so filing a DMCA may be useless. BTW,most of my articles are on private blogger or websites without Google...

At first I thought I was being penalized with copyright infringement when I saw this sign © on 25 of my hubs, for the first time today. Then I scrolled down to see whether I was in deep trouble, and it showed © = Possibly Copied by Someone Else. Phew!! I won't waste my time...

I filed a DMCA report for a page that copied my hub. The hub existed as a lens since 12/12/10.The content is obviously and clearly copied and even mentions that it was taken from Squidoo at the top. Yet Google rejected the URL for removal.I hope it is OK to list the URLs here so people trying to...
