    How many of you agree?

"Words are everything, they win hearts and tear hearts."

I agree. My mom always says, "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. Words can be lethal weapons."

From a mystical standpoint, God is both sound and Silence. On a more humane level, words can destroy us or save lives, yes.

Nevertheless, if the spiritual Heart is anchored in the Divine, bombs do not shake the inner equilibrium of the Seer, yet alone words. So basically the quest is really for centering of the Self --equipoise. Here a life of Sadhana, (Spiritual practices) becomes crucial!

Here's an example. I have 38 years of prayer and meditation, plus retreats and selfless service in my inner records. My aunt's partner of 40 years died. She was admitted to hospital 3 times since his demise iin the last 10 days. Her son, X-husband, and her daughter's husband were admitted in quick succession. Three other daughters fell ill, all with Covid-19.

My sister is very ill with Cancer, Stage four. Many humans would 'die' with worry. Not me! My aunt came out of hospital today, her son also. The daughters are now well and the Partner will be buried tomorrow, insha'llah. Everything comes good in the end.

How we deal with an outer problem, depends on how we are within. You are the Universe and the Universe is you. I think the Brahma Kumaris calls this 'Inside out. Continue with namaz and also increase your Salat. Now is indeed a golden opportunity. Jazak Allahu Khairan.

I can agree.                                        I also have my reserve.                                                       Words are like a knife or sword with two edges-one blunt and sharp and the other the sword with both edge sharpen!                                                     The knife knife is like the circuit charge of electricity. They's a limit to what it can do because you can cmtain it. It's like here in the forum like we're mindful of what we say to one another. Here we care.                                   But the sword with it's two shapen edge is pose to devor!

Manatita I feel sad for your aunt as she lost her husband and has suffered a lot. But I am happy that she and the rest of the family survived by Covid.
I pray may your sister also recover soon. May God protect us all.
    Jazak Allah
    Blessings

bravewarrior I agree with what your mother taught you. But the question is why we do what we already know can hurt others?
Why people become selfish? Why they don't respect another person's feeling?
Is it fair to do so?

No doubts that words are enough to heal deep wounds and enough to make deep wounds.
    But do people care?

People can make you remember the mistake you made 12 years before in innocence but will forget the recent 12 years that how nice and well you treated them.

For us scientists and engineers, it's easier to explain phenomena with an equation, than awkwardly with lots of words.

Misbah, words are very powerful and can be used for good or bad. They can uplift and they can tear down. We as writers need to learn to use them very wisely and try to use them to good effect.

Yes jodah I agree, but the question remains there why do people hurt by their words knowing their words can hurt others.

Misbah, I'll attempt to answer your question.

Many people would rather tear down others than rise above. It may be that they don't have faith or confidence in themselves. Changing negative habits can be a chore, so they try to bring others down to their level. It makes them feel powerful. Little do they realize, that the real power is in making positive changes and exuding that to others to create a peaceful, happy environment. People who live with a negative mindset don't realize that they are the ones who need to change.

This is why I remove negative, harmful, ornery people from my life. I choose to see the good in everything and everyone, until they prove themselves otherwise. Then, it's on I go and leave the negative influences behind. Perhaps if enough people did this, the naysayers would get the hint and look inside themselves rather than blame and inflict negativity on others.

Too many humans have weak spirits. If they'd look inside, look to nature, and be honest with themselves, they'd realize that they and they alone are the ones who can make the world - and their own lives - a better, happier place.
