Looking for a lost poet.

   Hi everyone,
   Does any one know the whereabouts of my dear old friend Colin Stewart - aka "Epigramman"?  He was a top poet here at HubPages about 8 years ago.  I haven't heard from him since then and am anxious to know if he is well.

      Maria, I've been wondering the same thing. A few years ago he wasn't doing well. He was ill and in danger of losing his home. The last few emails I sent went unanswered. Again, this was a few years ago. If anyone provides you with more information, please let me know.

         Hi Bravewarrior, thanks for writing back.  Colin sold his cottage at Lake Eirie in Canada in Dec 2013.  He moved to an apartment in town.  I have his last phone number but it has since been disconnected.   We spoke regularly over the phone but the last email contact I received was around April 2014.  I was never aware of any illness. If he was ill, it must have happened after 2014.  I fear that he may have passed away.  The only other contact he was close to was a lady named Amy.  I will try to find her on social media and see if she knows something.  After reading all my correspondence with him, it has truly saddened me that he has disappeared.  He was and always will be a wonderful soul-mate.

   I had a quick look around on the internet out of curiosity. Most recent thing I found was from 2014, a blog article: The Poet Who Lost His Voice . Sounds like an interesting fellow. It's awful how friends can just fade into the ether on the internet.

      The last couple of conversations I had with Epi (his real name is Colin Stewart) were pretty dark. His poetry had taken a dark turn, too. He lived alone with his cats. Never was married. No kids. His cottage was becoming uninhabitable. If something happened to him, I don't think we'd ever know. He was very much alone, with the exception of his beloved cats.
      
      I just shot him an email. I'll let you know if I get a reply.

   I enjoyed reading Colin's articles. He was a great supporter of other writers on HubPages. I've been wondering what has happened to him. I hope he's okay, but the situation that people have described is worrying.

   It's strange how we seem to forget someone then years later his name comes up and I do remember him! I would love to know where he is, and if he is still around. Lovely guy.
