Linking to Our Own Articles & Use of Movie Stills

I have a couple of questions I think I already know the answers to, but I just wanted to be sure I'm clear on the rules (since things have changed quite a bit over the years).

    1. Are we allowed to link to our own articles? Specifically can I link from an article I'm currently writing to an article which is already on one of the Network Sites? The current article should wind up being accepted to the same Network Site (Remedy Grove, Self-Help) when it's passed QAP.

    2. Are we allowed to use stills from movies or television shows in our hubs, when the hub is about that specific movie/show/episode?

Just for the sake of clarification (since there's been some confusion in the past), this is the account I've always used for the forums, but it is not the account I write under (any more). My hubs consistently pass QAP and are sorted to network sites without my intervention.

    Thank you!

    1. Yup. I do it all the time. Just be sure your linked Hub is relevant and you are using good anchor text. You might be able to link from niche site to niche site, as long as the link is useful to the reader. That would be up to the editor. What you can't do is link from a niche site back to HubPages. That would likely get snipped.

    2. I am not a lawyer, but I would assume anything created by the studio is under their copyright. I would not use it.

      Thank you!

I'll have to find another solution for the television stills, in this case. Possibly search YouTube for videos that include the clips I want. I'm unsure how I'll get images into the articles, but I'm sure I'll figure something out. Or bite the bullet and ask for permission to use them. It can't hurt.
