I created 6 forum threads and discussions around the Nobel Prize in Literature. This is a thread to recap all of them. Let's face it: The Nobel Prize in Literature is given to writers. HubPages is no longer a content~farm. We are a serious literary site. This site is full of poets for God's sake!
If I win the prize money: I'll buy gadgets, lots of them! I'll buy from Amazon, Ebay, BestBuy, etc. I'll also invest the larger portion of the prize money as timed~deposits, and earn cash on a monthly basis. The rest of the money I'll invest in real estate.
How will you spend the money if you win yourself?
1. Collaboration between HubPages and the Nobel Prize Committee by 2050
2. The HubPages Newspaper
3. Maven is a Juggernaut
4. The Ultimate Aim of Authors and Poets (on HubPages) is to Win Prizes
5. The HubPages Magazine
6. Maven is like Netflix (viz. The Nobel Prize of Literature for Hubbers)
Rutabaga futures would be a better choice. If I am not mistaken they are traded on the Chicago Futures Market.
Tell us the real reason, apart from what Dr Mark said jokely.
Tanmoy's (Das) sole purpose for posting these pointless threads in the wrong forum is to promote all his other pointless threads.

I don't have a car. If I win, I shall definitely buy a car. I shall buy this car: Maruti Suzuki EECO. The price of this car is $5352.

Isn't that against HP policy to post all these spammy things? (Tanmoy) Why haven't these been removed?
These are not spam. I really mean what I say here.
Well, I guess. Not promoting your own external links or pages, so.. ya, I guess. just seems spammy. Write articles about this stuff instead of spending time posting it on threads. You'll probably benefit more from doing so
This forum thread is built on logic.
I've already created an article on the topic of a newspaper version of HubPages. It's called "The HubPages Newspaper".
(Thank you for the suggestion.)

Let's assume that you have a brilliant idea for a film. You may think that the directors of movie~studios will catch your idea like a bag of gold. You're terribly mistaken. Your movie idea must incorporate a villain, a boy meets girl tension, a crime scene, etc. If your story does not have these...

I can't wait to read about how big of a joke the (Norwegian) Nobel Prize selecting committee is and that since nazi Germany loved Hitler and so many love Obama, it logically makes Obama Hitler. Can you people be proud for once that we have a great leader? He is not perfect, nobody is, but for god's...

Anybody knows the work of the new Nobel Prize in literature (Mario Vargas Llosa)?
by Hegel 2 years ago
At first sight, you may consider this to be an unreasonable, fantastic idea. But I give you the reasons. The reasons are pointed below numerically:1. The Stipulations: “All of my remaining realisable assets are to be disbursed as follows: the capital, converted to safe securities by my executors,...
