Payout delays

Hi, I would like to know if there are any issues with HP or Maven paying earnings. I knew I made payout back in February but the payout has not been sent...even as of May. There was another question about this in forums earlier this year and several people replied saying payments are late. This is far more than late which is what I initially figured. None of my info or settings have changed. A few days ago I emailed HP and have yet to receive a response. Does anyone know anything about payments being this late?

Payouts are made on the 28th of each month. You have to have earned a minimum of $50 in order to receive payment. Check your earnings page to see what your current earnings are.

Yes, of course I checked my earnings before posting or emailing HP last week but I haven't gotten a response. I earned well over the minimum, have been a hubber for years so I'm not new to payouts. I earned payout in February 2021 and we're beyond halfway through May 2021. I am wondering if anyone has any current info on this type of issue, I never experienced this before. Have you?

I don't meet payout every month, but I've not experienced late payments in the nine plus years I've been here.

Hopefully, a moderator will come in and address your concern.

I don't meet payout every month either and have also been here for at least 9 years.

Could there be an issue with your settings for getting payment or PayPal?

    I've not had issues.

No, I checked and nothing has changed. I also had no issues with payout prior to this.

Some weeks ago, there was a glitch of sorts in HP’s reports on earnings and payments.

When I checked my balance reports, there was a payment that WAS made but reported as PENDING (or something like that). This reflected for some time before it finally went away. Same has happened before though so I just ignore.

Perhaps it may be the same?

Thank you. I have never seen a pending payment before this but it shows pending and has done so for months. Being as patient as I've already been did nothing to resolve the issue and I could find no info on a delay of months for payout until I asked about it here. Was your wait 2 months long? Do you know what happened or what was done for the pending status to go away?

Nope, no one that I know of has had issues with payment delays of the kind you speak of. Are you saying you were paid (according to the balance history) but never received the money? The forum posts that you refer to from a few months ago refer to a delay of a few days which was caused due to a weekend falling on the 28th. HP later said that it was an unusual delay and even if the weekend falls on the 28th, you should receive your money on the 28th.

I would contact the team at team@hubpages.com just in case that is not the email you used.

Thank you, that is not the email I used. I never had any issues with payout before and could not find any information until I asked here.

if payments were that late the frum would be blowing up. Your account should show if the payment was made. If it was not made you can ask why, if it was then either your info (new account number, database glitch?) is wrong or your bank did something?

Thanks for responding. It only has shown as pending since March, all through April, and even now at the end of May. None of my info or settings have changed and I've never experienced any delays in my 9 years here. Finding info on what happened is difficult. Hopefully it can be resolved and avoided in the future.

The issue is with your PayPal account. You will need to contact PayPal customer support to resolve it: https://www.paypal.com/in/smarthelp/contact-us

Thanks. I did that as well but I only have one account, no guest or seller accounts and when asked if I have pending payments it shows:

I will try contacting them to see if they can search further back to March when the payout should have occurred.

Thanks, now I'm being told by Paypal that I need a transaction number from the payer, a transaction number that has never shown in my list in the 9+ years I've been on Maven/HP and still does not show to this day.

Thanks for all the help, I continue to post here so others who may find themselves experiencing the same issue may be able to find help. However, I did reach PayPal and was told they can do nothing without a transaction number from HP that has never shown for any earnings payments from HP to me in my 9+ years on HP and now Maven. How do I get the correct transaction number from 3 months ago?

  7. Express10 profile image85
    Express10posted 2 years ago

UPDATE, the PayPal rep I spoke with today said they went back six months and saw no payments from HP or Maven. They also said that without a transaction number they cannot trace the transaction. I've told them I've gotten payment for 9 years now but they still cannot find the exact issue and said there is no record of the payment being sent. I see it in my HP account as pending for 3 months now whereas I've never seen anything in pending status before. I've been using the PayPal account for long time but never got the HP March payment or anything beyond that.

HP has been helpful in finding out that there was a 3015 error (and thus they do not have a transaction number) which is supposed to be for a locked or inactive account, but that is not the case. The PayPal rep and my purchases prove that but HP did get that error from PayPal. So, at least for now, PayPal directed me to ask HP to resend the payment to my PayPal address. I guess we'll know if that works at the end of this month. Thanks for all the help, clearly this is a very odd situation, still with no clear answers from PayPal as to why an active PayPal account would get an error stating it was locked or inactive.
