As well noted since last year 2020, comments can be made on newly publish articles before these are moved up to  discover, or a niche.                                           I chanced to read an article that land on my feed 5 minutes ago after publication. I spent some good 10 minutes reading the story and making comments. I submit comment and land on discover to my embarrasment.                                        Thinking that it was a glitch, and since the comment button is still open, I composed and post the same again and land on discover with no comment obvious.                                             It would have been better if readers or fellowers of the author were given an hour to perused articles on hubpages before moving it to discover or a niche.

Many authors (myself included) would prefer their article move to Discover and become monetized ASAP.

The process is already so clunky. I would not want to see an intentional delay introduced.

I had not realized the monetization thing to be immediate.                      If the comment button was restore this June, what difference would the monetization thing make?

Discover is monetized. Regular HP isn't. So, by leaving articles on HP longer, they earn less.

In the long run it doesn't really matter. You won't lose much money over an extra few days on HP. My concern was adding another step to the process which is already a several step ordeal.

Comments coming back won't have anything to do with any of that, except that people who care about leaving comment won't need to rush to get them in before an article goes to Discover.

So glad to hear that. Much thanks.
