Editors changing bios that don't match the article topic.

I write in different genres, and am now starting to write some new bios because I see others doing it (and it makes sense).  But editors have changed bios of absolutely unrelated topics to the one I now use for gardening. It makes no sense to add a gardening bio to my baseball articles, professional (How to talk into a microphone, etc), and some others.  PLEASE, one size does NOT fit all, so  if you want some new bios, how about contacting me and letting me take care of it? Yup, I am annoyed because now I have to undo what was done incorrectly. This is time consuming.  I appreciate the help editors give, but this really has me shaking my head.

I don't like it neither as it makes no sense at all.                                                    If a writer forget to write a bio, or is ignorant of such an act, editors. I think can help put up an apt and relevant one for such a writer.                                       Nevertheless, for an editor to completely change a writers bio to reflect something else an author did not intend, is a sign of inexperience, or evil intention for the writer.

      Hello,

TeriSilver, we apologize for the error here. I just updated the editing team about this issue. As a quick fix, if you look at the editing notice in your inbox and locate the bio/specific article that was changed and revert the bio back, this should fix it in all other instances across your other articles.

You can also forward/escalate this to team@hubpages.com and I can pick it up from there.

      Best,

      Tessa

I cater the article bio to the subject matter. My profile page bio was challenging because I write on a variety of topics. I think that HP are taking a big interest in writer bios nowadays because Google are pushing a concept of Author Authority.

Okay. If hubpages editors will ganer Gongle's concept of expertise, authority, and the rest, that's basically fine.                                      But for an editor to go outside Google idea, broke a producer's interest is insane.

Tessa, thank you.  Instead, I have gone through all the articles (it took me a few hours) and repaired/replaced/rewritten all the bios.   Hopefully, this is now OK.  t
