Site Mismatch Notice

   I would appreciate any suggestions.  I submitted the following article to WanderWisdom: https://discover.hubpages.com/family/Br … sabilities
   
   In addition to being a residential place for people with disabilities to live, I thought that since it offers visitors a place to buy plants and other gift items, a place to dine or hold meetings, and even a place to get married, it might fit the category. 
   
   I debated upon submitting it to Owlcation.  If you were to submit it, which category would you pick?

   I think the article might be a good match for Soapboxie, since it focuses on social issues.

   That is a difficult one, Peg. I would say Owlcation or Soapboxie but it doesn’t really matter as HP will decide which one it fits in best whichever you submit it to. It is a wonderful article by the way, and the photos are stunning. I could not think of a better place to live and work…the grounds beautiful, that nursery is amazing, so is the gift shop.

      In the past, I have had them put it in a different category when I submitted it in one, but that did not happen this time.  They simply said it was well-written but a site mismatch.  So it is up to me to resubmit it and hopefully choose the right category.  You are the second person to suggest Soapboxie.  When it is time to resubmit, I might try that next.  Thanks!

   I appreciate your advice.  I have never submitted anything to Soapboxie.  This place is amazing, and in my opinion could fit several categories.  But since it was refused for WanderWisdom I might give your suggestion a try.  Thanks!

         Are editors not passing articles on to the appropriate site anymore? In the past, if it was a "site mismatch" it would be moved to the appropriate site queue.
         
         Why has that changed?
         
         There is significant overlap between several of the sites. Sometimes it is a guessing game.

   After they said it did not fit WanderWisdom, I took Linda Crampton's advice and submitted it to Soapboxie.  I have not yet heard back that it is accepted or not accepted.  If it is not accepted, I'll try your advice about PatientsLounge.  That will be six weeks of trials, since we can only submit an article every 2 weeks.  I have never had such a hard time in trying to submit one article!  But thanks for your advice!

   They used to do that, but I have had a hard time finding the right niche for this one.  As noted, I am waiting to hear back before I try submitting it a 3rd time.  I may just submit others instead.
