Does anyone know what this is? I logged in today to find an article has double arrows and well over the number of views it has ever seen in one day, yet alone in a month since this article tanked. When I went to the stats on the article page, it was not very helpful because it only shows a third of the referrals (compared to the views on my account page), but most of them were coming from cdn-magiclinks dot trackonomics dot net. A much smaller chunk (less than 15 views) were shown to come simply from trackonomics.
Any ideas? It doesn't look like this article went viral from any other source (pinterest/facebook/flipboard) all have the normal views for this time of year. Buzzfeed has a couple hundred views today, which is unusual, however that hardly accounts for the huge increase in veiws for this article today. I'm so confused how an article can increase in views by over 3000+%, yet the referal tracker only notes a little over 1k views. It is hard to trust this many views when I cannot see where they are all coming from.

During the Christmas and New Year holidays people would just relax and enjoy the well awaited time of the year. Some of them will be sparing time to read the books or articles or magazines of their choice and I infer that views to many articles in Hubpages would also go up. What is your experience...
