Odd traffic increase

I'm not complaining big_smile but my traffic has doubled overnight (still only a 10th of the good old days)

And it's not just one article receiving a boost. Every article bar one has views in the last 24 hours.

I have been saving articles but that would only account for one view per hub and that was a few days ago. This is a general increase throughout. Red triangles are breeding.

Oh, and I checked traffic sources and stats and nothing unusual is going on there.

    Anyone?

No sudden increases here I'm afraid. Enoy the surf while you can!

The move to Discover has been a disaster for most, as expected. My views and earnings are roughly halved but I will make payout again which is a nice surprise. I'll give it another month or so to see if things stabilise but if V&E continue their steady decline, and HP staff shut up shop, I'll have to pack my bags and leave for pastures new....an experiment with my own website?

My traffic is about the same. However, three of my articles that were on niche sites are now showing blue arrows since being moved to Discover.

Lucky you!  My traffic and earnings are still in the toilet.  I'm earning pennies a day.  It will take years to make payout again.  I used to make payout every month.

For me, it's a better steady, holding. I have added three new articles and edited others.

Great news for you Bev. I have a possible explanation. People are turning to Tarot for enlightenment on the capricious and irrational actions of a certain world leader, because nothing else explains it.

My own views and earnings have collapsed since Discover Day. No payout this month for the first time in many years.

My traffic has generally been drifting downwards but is higher at the moment due to one article surging. I’m sure it’ll be temporary.

So, views have crashed back down so I wonder if it was a miscalculation. Oh well, I'll fold my hopes up and put them back in the drawer of disappointments

Generally speaking, I believe traffic will gradually fall as articles are no longer getting the link juice that the niches had.

On top of that, HP won't put any effort into counteracting falls that result from future Google algo hits.

I believe that HP will pay writers to create alternative versions of successful Discover articles for their own publications, as this has already apparently happened.

It really is that bleak in my view.

I'm happy to get what money I can but I see no future.

If you were in edit mode while saving articles, the system may think you updated it and might then have put it up higher on the category main page, as though it was new or newly edited.

Only the draft ones were saved in author view mode; all the others were direct from Discover.

I think it was a glitch because almost all my articles had two or more views. The frequently viewed ones didn't change much. And it fell right back to where it was the day before once it reset itself.
